NO
Tested for in Extended Drug Tests?
NO
Possible to Test for?
YES
Will Trigger Tests for Other Substances?
Possible : LSD
Detection Period in Urine
Unknown

TEST TYPES #
Urine Testing
It is possible to specifically test for the presence of LSA in urine, but we have never heard of such a test. We have reports that LSD urine screens will cross react with LSA or its metabolites, so therefore people who ingest LSA-containing plants such as morning glory seeds or hawaiian baby woodrose may test positive for LSD with non-specific assays. Because of the availability of LSD-assays, some hospitals and other organizations who do not follow NIDA standard guidelines may include the LSD test in their standard batteries.

LSD screens are much more common now (2004-2005) than they were a few years ago.

LSA/LAA is not one of the SAMHSA-5 standardly tested for in the basic drug test, nor is it included in the extended drug tests. It is also not chemically similar to any of the drugs commonly tested for, so should not trigger the tests as another substance.

FALSE POSITIVES #
Substances or Conditions which can cause false positives
It is unknown whether LSA cross-reacts with the LSD screens, but it is possible that LSA could cause a false positive for LSD.

CAUTION & DISCLAIMER #
Erowid's drug testing information is a summary of data gathered from site visitors, journal articles, websites, and other resources. Detection periods depend on amount and frequency of use, metabolic rate, body mass, age, overall health, drug tolerance, and urine pH of each individual. Many substances that are not tested for in basic or extended urinalysis tests CAN be tested for by a laboratory willing to go to the trouble, although that is uncommon.
