Imagery: The Drum Festival in Huichol culture is a spiritual celebration that commemorates the end of the rainy season and the beginning of the corn harvest. Guided by the shaman, known as mara'akame, the community engages in ritual chants, presents offerings, and seeks spiritual purification. The festival aims to express gratitude to the gods for their protection and generosity, as well as to secure future prosperity, concluding with the baptism of the community's children. |
