Holy shit and wow were the only two words I could utter during and after this experience. I had ordered some acacia confusa root bark and proceeded to extract the alkaloids from that stinky shit. When I completed the extraction, I had to test it, so I put about a pencil eraser sized amount into a bong on top of some ash, which was on a screen, and more ash and another screen on top of that. What happened next was simply incredible. Most people say that they can't remember their DMT experiences, but I seem to be in that tiny minority that remembers every detail.

I took it all in one big thick nasty hit. I held it for around thirty seconds. Before I even let the smoke out, I felt higher than I have ever been, and I have eaten 7 grams of mushrooms before and taken at least 1000 micrograms of acid on several occasions. The first thing I noticed was the craziest sound I have ever heard. It was like the buzzing of atoms was suddenly made discernible when the filters of my mind were overridden. When I let the hit out, I muttered 'wow' with the exhale of the cloud. I immediately became immersed in what can only be described as a full blown psychedelic state. It was as if every trip I had ever taken was suddenly condensed and sped up 1000 fold. The visuals were so fast and deep. Everything was crawling like an extreme acid or mushroom trip, only way way faster and way more deeply. All wood surfaces began to crawl like never before. The odd thing was it felt so familiar .

It was so intense that at one point I had to put my head in my lap and just hang on for dear life. Thoughts raced through my mind at hyperspeed. I remember thinking that maybe I shouldn't have done this and that I was messing with ancient and profound forces way beyond my capability of understanding. It was very much like a condensed 1000 microgram acid trip that was compressed into 10 minutes. The furniture in the room took on a new look. Everything looked brand new, as if it was so clean and fresh that it was just brought from the store. I also felt like the dimensions of the room had expanded greatly.

It was scary as fuck. It also felt like I was inhabiting a space between life and death. Even with eyes closed, the visuals were inescapable. I started taking very deep breaths and meditating just to ride out the intensity of the feelings I was having. I did not feel any sort of entities or see anything that wasn't there, but I could see how someone might feel like that was happening.

I think the fact that I had done so many mushrooms and LSD before this trip really prepared me for the feelings and visual overload I experienced. The best way to describe it is to take a 12 hour full blown acid trip and compress it down into the space of 7 minutes. The speed of the visuals was overwhelming.

When I started to come down, I felt better than I have felt in years. It was a tremendous relief to be returning to a normal state of consciousness, and I was just grateful to be alive. I could see how someone who never experienced mushrooms or acid could really freak out on this shit. 7 minutes seemed to stretch into an eternity, but this is a pretty normal feeling with any powerful psychedelic drug. I would start with something milder if I were just getting into psychedelics. A couple of mushroom trips gradually working up to 5 dried grams would be a good place to train the mind to prepare oneself for these extreme altered states.

Had I not had so many varied and intense prior trips to refer to as a signpost, I'm sure this trip would have freaked my shit to the core. By the way, this DMT was a pure white crystaline substance that was damn near 100% pure.
