My friend's apartment with 4 other people that I knew reasonably well.

This was my second trip on shrooms. My first trip was filled with heightened senses and it was awesome, but it was NOTHING like this time.

My only other drug experiences are with weed and one failed attempt at MDMA. For this trip I had probably a little less than 3/4 of a cut and drank it in orange juice and some mixed into mashed potatoes. I also took probably 4-5 hits of good weed.

My trip really started when I was looking at one of those crazy psychedelic pictures with little fairies and elves on it. The picture came ALIVE and I was one with it. I tried to take myself out of the picture and look at it, it looks 3-D like I was literally wearing 3-D glasses. I decided to re-enter the picture. I began to trip really hard and I stared into the picture like it was a window into another world. I didn't look at the individual things, I stared at somewhere near the middle of the picture and used my peripherals to take in the whole beauty of the picture. I engulfed myself into the picture for what seemed like an hour and I kept saying that I needed to talk to a scientist because I was answering all of life's uncovered questions.
I kept saying that I needed to talk to a scientist because I was answering all of life's uncovered questions.
It was like question-answer pairs were coming to me so fast I couldn't comprehend them but I know that what I was receiving was nothing less than pure genius.

After awhile my friends convinced me to come back to the fort that we had made. This is where it got really crazy and it was the only point where I was truly scared. I was sitting trying to listen to what people were saying, but their words came out like strange sounds. I kept thinking 'what is language?'. It is just noises and sounds that mean something to us because we learn it. But I was somewhere beyond the realm of language and understanding. People were saying things and I was briefly understanding them but there was some disconnection from my conscious brain on earth and wherever my subconscious was taking me. They kept asking me to explain what I was experiencing but it was beyond language. It was so difficult to describe. I was unlocking the secrets of the universe, I don't remember the questions or answers, but I just kept understanding more and more.

I was seeing the BIG PICTURE. I kept expanding my view of the universe until I saw it as what I can only explain as senses, sight mostly, but also other senses that I have never experienced before in my life. Everything that I saw was covered in little gears for some reason, I could see the world coming together, all little pieces of my reality. I briefly thought that reality was only what you see, like your experiences in life are reality and if you do not experience something, it does not exist. I thought that my whole life could be one big dream or trip, and I was finally discovering the lies that make up the world that I thought was reality. I thought that I had finally found reality and I was never going back to the 'fake world' that I have been living in. I tried to factor in the fact that there were living people around me, that also had their own realities, but I couldn't comprehend that at ALL.

All of this led up to something that I only know happened because I remember saying it, but I cannot begin to explain the actual feeling. But I had such a rush of information and realization that I felt like I had a full body orgasm. I felt it all over and it was unmistakably an orgasm. After, I felt exhausted, but I was still in the alternate universe. The real world was still incomprehensible. I don't particularly remember what I did for that time but I remember feeling exhausted and excited to explore the new world.

Throughout this time I was also scared, but I had read enough about shrooms to tell myself that I would figure all of this out tomorrow and it was only a temporary thing. But I still was worried that I would not be able to go about my real life. Not after I just uncovered the true meaning of the question 'What is life?' I could never put it into words, but it was a truly magical experience.

I believe that what I experienced was what some people experience as 'finding god'. And it really did make me question my beliefs. I still do not believe in god in the western sense. But I believe that the universe is all interconnected. I know I will probably never be able to experience this exactly the same again but I would love to go back into the alternate universe and see what else I can discover.

I also think I saw 'the light' that many people refer to when facing a near death experience. The most memorable thing that I saw throughout the trip was a giant sun-like light. It was big and yellow and glowed and it kept telling me that the universe just IS. There were not words for it but it just IS. I felt like I understood EVERYTHING. I don't have that same feeling of understanding now, but I feel like I really uncovered something amazing on my trip.

Also, I haven't figured out how to use what I have discovered to change my own life. I feel like I have been reborn, but I don't know how to use this to my advantage, I feel like I can only obsess about it, which can't be healthy.
