I was at the Montana National Rainbow Gathering in my tent on a cold evening with the sound of drum circles coming in from all directions in a pleasant rumble that was calming. I had just had dinner (rice and beans) and was in a positive mood with my partner who was sober, resting beside me. I had not used any other substances with the exception of tobacco that day so I was baseline.

Before arriving at the event I used a mill to powder Syrian Rue seeds and then after cleaning the mill I did the same to Acacia confusa inner tree bark. Both powders were separately sifted through a screen that only allowed the finest grains of each substance pass through. I washed and dried the screen before sifting each of the two substance to avoid any cross contamination.

Just after dusk I swallowed one heaping tablespoon of the Syrian Rue powder that I washed down with some water. Then half an hour later I swallowed one heaping tablespoon of the Acacia confusa powder. The A. confusa powder left an almost minty aftertaste in my mouth. I laid back in the tent an waited, not sure what to expect but surely assumed I would get nausea or something but I did not.

I am guessing that it was no more than 30 minutes later that I began to experience a full blown DMT-trip such that all I could do was keep my face firmly planted in my pillow as the universe began to unravel. I 'got' the cosmic joke that words as humans use, would not suffice in explaining. My partner said I just kept saying 'Oh my god...' thats because of all the information I was interfacing with on a cosmic level. I remember saying that and while I remember all the interface, it was not linear so a paragraph or three would do little to shed light.

The universe was reassembled by morning at which point I crept out of my tent with everything in my scope of vision still shimmering and a whole lot f stuff to think about. Fortunately I was in a good place to do that! I would say that it was just as powerful as every time I have freebased DMT with all the unexplained mysteries reveled but instead lasted all night.

What was most interesting is a total lack of any ill feelings. No diarrhea, vomiting heaving etc... just a pure trip. I have used ayahuasca enough times to make me think twice about drinking the brew and have made brews like this with Acacia/Rue and similarly get sick. Not with the powder toss and wash though! In my opinion this the best route and will always be how I repeat the procedure.
