1.5 Tbsp | oral | Banisteriopsis caapi | (tea) |
T+ 0:22 | 5 g | oral | Acacia confusa | (capsule) |
BODY WEIGHT: | 137 lb |
Setting: My home. I had planned to spend an evening outside but the come-up took so long that I went inside and watched a movie with my dad. I started feeling high just as he was leaving to go to bed.
Background: I have dosed MG, DXM, DMT, and very weak Amanita Muscaria (Fly Agaric).
Goal: I want to experience a DMT breakthrough eventually, and I’m searching for the easiest preparation with the least nausea possible.
Ingredients: Yellow Banisteriopsis Caapi and powdered Acacia Confusa Bark.
PREPARATION
I brought 1 Tbsp shredded Yellow B. Caapi to a boil in 1C of water and a squirt of lime juice. Once the boil began, I turned off the heat and removed the pan from the burner to let the tea steep. After a few minutes (maybe 10-20), I strained this tea into a measuring cup and re-boiled the bark in the another 1C solution of water and lime juice. After these two boils, I added all the tea back into the pot with approx. 1 Tbsp of previously used (last time) B. Caapi. I brought the tea to a boil, removed from heat, and let it steep as I prepared for the trip.
I used 10x 500 mg emptied Niacin capsules for a total of 5g of powdered Acacia Confusa.
EFFECTS
6:30 pm I began drinking the B. Caapi.
6:40 pm I finished consuming 1 1/2C B. Caapi.
6:52 pm I ingested 5g powdered, encapsulated Acacia Confusa.
7:00-8:00 approx. I waited for it to kick in, enjoying the cold evening on my deck. I wanted to experience being high in more of a nature setting. Although I was definitely feeling the B. Caapi, I wasn’t feeling any of the Acacia.
8:00 approx. I went inside because I was cold. I figured the effects would come on eventually, but they were taking too long to come on outside. I ate some toast, bacon, and peanuts while I watched one and a half episodes of Bad Judge with my dad.
8:47 pm As soon as my dad turned the TV off I began to feel the effects. He said he was going to bed, and I told him I was just going to sit on the couch for a few minutes before going upstairs. I began hearing the staple DMT audio hallucination echoes, and the living room was moving a little.
When I closed my eyes the trip really started. I melted away into a shopping mall, and followed a small entity into a multi-colored, striped, bright, vivid room. My body disappeared and I had an amazing sensation of being pulled and compressed at the same time.
My body disappeared and I had an amazing sensation of being pulled and compressed at the same time.
Often, I would feel different indescribable sensations throughout my body: my hands felt like I was sticking them into some holes that fit perfectly around my fingers, and my body (that wasn’t there) was flying apart in every direction. At the same time, I was one with the room, but I was not the room at all. I remembered having experienced these sensations last time I took Acacia, but I had been sleeping when I came up (so I was not brought up comfortably, and I went back to sleep to try to sleep the trip away).
I tried to remember everything I was experiencing, and I tried to formulate how I would describe this experience and these sensations. All that came to mind was the realization that they were not possible to describe with words, sounds, feelings, or even pictures—nothing could describe this except the experience itself.
Although most of the time I was floating through multicolored hallways, I did float through some creepy basements where they were demons watching me. Somehow I was able to stay calm.
Eventually I realized that people might say this was all just a very vivid dream if I didn’t prove that it wasn’t. I painstakingly opened my eyes to my living room. I moved my hands and confirmed that I was not asleep. I noted that there were all kinds of visual distortions—a blanket on the ground was a dead body, and everything was just…different. Although it was the same, nothing looked the same. There is no doubt in my mind as to whether this was all a dream.
After a while, I began to wonder how long the trip would last. Don’t get me wrong—I was loving it—I just wondered. Then I realized that time was not real in this state of consciousness. I knew I would eventually be back to normal, but I also knew that I experienced all of this in minutes that felt like hours, and hours that felt like minutes. Whenever I thought back to the beginning of the trip, I would be back at the beginning repeating it over. I wondered if this was what death was like.
Eventually, I lay down on the couch and slept the last of the trip away. It was a light (lots of tossing and turning), but beautiful sleep. I woke up at 1:00 am to go to my room.
Thanks to this trip, I will continue to follow the two important rules I developed in my last (second) experience with DMT:
1. Ingest all the Acacia at once, 15-30 minutes after finishing the Caapi (or other MAOI).
2. DO NOT take a nap while the effects come on.
After tripping it is okay to drift off to sleep. During my first and second trips I thought that it was not, but this was because I hadn’t actually tripped yet—I was just experiencing either mild DMT effects before the major trip, or simply the B. Caapi.
The only negative side effect from this trip was some weird body feeling that was kind of like nausea (only during the most intense part of the trip). I thought I would open my eyes to find vomit all over, but I didn’t vomit once.
This method of ingestion is perfect in my mind: quick, easy, potent, and cheap.
