I had just gotten home from a weekend school trip. I have terrible claustrophobia, and I brought 20mg Etizolam with me for the 10 hour bus ride there and back. I was not planning on using all of it, and didn't need any on the way there. However, halfway home, I took 3mg. I was nicely relaxed, nothing more than the normal with Etizolam. I had also been discreetly hitting a G-pen in my bus seat the whole ride with my friend next to me, so I was feeling nice.
I went to a friend's house around 11, and the Etizolam I had already taken was wearing off, I was feeling another anxiety attack coming on, and it was bad. I take 5mg. Ten minutes later, I don't feel it, I am absolutely panicked, not thinking straight, and I finish off the rest of the pills I have, totaling 17mg within 10 minutes. I had essentially no tolerance either, so I knew it was going to be a ride.
From here, there are various 2 minute fragments of memory. I felt very very heavy, and motor skills were not there. I was running into walls and stumbling around. There were about 30 people at my friends house at the time, and everybody had been drinking, so people just assumed I was very drunk. I had sativa in my g pen, and hitting it actually made me feel less fucked up and more aware, and I went through about a half gram that night.
I have a 5 second clip of lying down on my couch at home, a 5 second clip of waking up and making sure I had my wallet, keys, phone, etc., and a 5 second clip of going to my sports practice and telling the coach I was sick and sitting out. This was at 5pm the next day, so 18 hours later I was still blacked out.
I slept that night, and my memory comes back after waking up the next day. I felt hazy and slow for a few days, but no real adverse effects after 2 or 3 days.
[Erowid Note: Driving while intoxicated, tripping, or extremely sleep deprived is dangerous and irresponsible because it endangers other people. Don't do it!]
To this day, I have no idea how I got back from my friends house, or how my car got back. I just hope I didn't drive, but I'm 90% sure I did because nobody told me how I got back when I asked. This basically got me clean for a month, because I had absolutely no desire to do any drugs. Even weed. It was too much and was overwhelming, and I will never do it again.
And that's the story of why I don't fuck with benzos anymore.
