The whole experience in itself is a little fuzzy in my head, for it was a while ago, but I'll do my best to piece it together.

It was a regular Saturday night, and I was looking for something to do. I hit up my friend, D, who also didn't have much going on that night. We decided we were going to watch a movie and jam a little bit, see if we can write a couple songs. That's just what my friends and I do when all else fails. Halfway through the movie, D pulled out a few baggies of some powder I had never before seen.

'Wanna bump a few lines with me?'
'What is it?'
'Uh, just some shit like morphine'
'Sure.'

I took the first line and he asked how I was feeling. I told him I wasn't feeling much of anything, so he gave me another about 5 minutes after the first -- that's when I could tell something was going on in both my mind and body. Once again he asked how it was, with a big ol' grin I told him 'Pretty good, man'. To my surprise, he gave me another line, and at that point I feel like I was officially high. Or at least as official as a high may be.

I was sitting on his couch, but it felt more like I was being passionately hugged by a blanket that just came out of the dryer. The warmth took over my body, and that's all I seemed to feel -- pure bliss. While I loved how it felt, what really had me was how it affected my general thought process. He suggested we start writing, and we got to it. He had recorded some raw tracks of his own that he wanted me to lay some vocals over. The genre in particular was hardcore, just for anyones curiosity. Lyrics were clearly essential so I grabbed a pen and paper and just started writing all that came to my mind. Whilst doing so, about 20 minutes after my previous dose, I took another line. All that was being written seemed to flow very smoothly, and it seemed they were the most passionate lyrics I had ever written.

After about an hour of jamming we both took two consecutive lines, chilled for a little while, and I found myself being hugged by that blanket again. This is where I'll elaborate on how my thoughts were affected. The best way for me to describe it was absolute contentment. I remember thinking to myself 'Everything is fine, and I'm so happy with my life.' It seemed as though there couldn't possibly be a single problem anywhere across the globe, and even if there was -- it will be resolved sooner than later. Timing at this point, I can't remember, but at some point after that I took 2 more lines no more than 45 minutes later. This is when I felt like I was falling asleep, just really tired. In retrospect I can now tell I was experience the nodding off. All I remember from that is slipping in and out of consciousness with my head bopping up and down between the breaks of sleep and wakefulness -- or something in between that I can't really describe. Nevertheless I wasn't fully aware of what was really going and, but it didn't bother me. All I could think of it was 'whatever'.

I crashed there that night, one of his junky friends stole a bunch of my cigarettes and I headed back home. Contrary to what many think, I didn't withdrawal all the money from my bank to buy some more dope the next day. I never thought anything of it again, well, until I was offered some more. The only way I ever even found out it was heroin is because his room mate, and friend of mine later told me he had been fucking around with heroin. I put two and two together and realized I had unknowingly done heroin. It didn't really bother me either, I'm kind of glad I was able to objectively experience such a taboo drug.
