DOSE:
1 hit   25C-NBOMe (blotter / tab)
    smoked Cannabis
BODY WEIGHT: 125 lb
My night from Hell begins around 6 PM on a Saturday. My boyfriend (We’ll call him X), and my good friend (Y), and I decided to take 25c-NBOMe. My boyfriend purchased it from his buddy back home, and Y bought some off of my boyfriend. We are college students, keep this in mind, and decided to head off campus to a field where we normally smoke weed. The field is surrounded by woods on 3 sides, and a walking trail on the 4th side, keep this in mind.

At 6:45 PM, half way to the field we decide to put in the tabs. By 7 o’clock we arrive to the field and travel a little ways into the woods to a smokers spot, and we all pull out weed to smoke. We were with 2 other people, who did not take the tabs that night, but have done the drug before.

7:10. I am the first person to start feeling the drug. We were sitting on a blanket with a crazy red and white pattern, and I notice the blanket is moving. A few minutes later I look to my boyfriend and my friend, and we all know we are tripping hard. X and I have taken 25c about 4 times before, and LSD once. However Y took LSD once but never felt the full effects, so he has truly never felt the effects of a trip. I notice while sitting there smoking that the effects are quite powerful, and quite pretty at the beginning, especially sitting in the woods surrounded by pretty green trees.

From here time gets fuzzy. Y wants to get up and go explore, so we all decide to get up and go with him. When my boyfriend and I stand up, I notice it is hard to walk. In fact, I was having trouble putting one foot in front of the other. Normally when we trip, we take them and come up in a secluded, safe room, this was our first time coming up while outside.

Y begins to run around the field kind of crazily, and we decide it might be a good idea to go back to campus to a safe environment, because I think we all noticed how powerful this drug was. While walking through the field, I begin to freak out because the ground looked like it was covered in bugs crawling around. Y and our other two friends walk ahead on the trail, however I have trouble walking and breathing, and I told X that I had to sit for a moment. We sit right next to the walking trail, and I keep asking him if we look normal. I’m not exactly sure what caused this, but I start crying hysterically. I’ve never tripped so hard than in those moments, and I was beginning to wonder if I was going to have a seizure. We immediately call a friend to come help us, because I was freaking out saying I wasn’t okay, and it triggered my boyfriend to freak out. Y and the two others we were with had already headed back to campus.

Soon everyone comes back. I have trouble focusing on anything. I dove into my mind and tried to stay calm, however I could not stop crying.
I have trouble focusing on anything. I dove into my mind and tried to stay calm, however I could not stop crying.
My friends sit with me, and soon I hear voices of someone walking on the trail. I try to act normal, but they knew something was wrong, and stop to talk to us. They tell us they are from campus, which immediately made me paranoid. I focus in on them when they ask if we were on shrooms, or cannabis, or if it was a personal matter. My sober friend said a personal matter, and the two people, kind of angrily, say they will be back down the trail soon to check up on us, and keep walking. We knew then that we had to leave.

We start walking, and I know then that we were in trouble. Walking is hard, and I’m still crying. I hold my boyfriend, and here I get the thoughts that I might die, and when I'm tripping and start telling myself I’m going to die, it’s impossible to change my mind. I start mouthing off things to my boyfriend about personal issues that were meant to stay between us, but everyone heard.

The walk back to campus was nearly impossible, and the entire time I thought every car, and everyone walking on the trail was a cop about to bust us. It begins to get dark now. Walking back to campus was scary because I thought at any moment the cops were going to bust us, or campus security. We eventually get to my boyfriends on campus apartment, and I do not notice that we have lost Y and the other two people we went with originally. It is now just X, the two friends that came to help us, and myself. X and I head to the bathroom, and from here things are fuzzy. I remember very little, but I remember needing to get in the shower, so I start stripping. My friends came in at some point, and saw me naked because I was trying to shower. Somehow my clothes are back on, and we end up in my boyfriend’s bed. In that bed, I remember knowing I was going to die, and my boyfriend had the same thoughts. I wanted nothing more than to talk to my mom, but my friends convinced us it was a terrible idea. We read bible versus, and tell each other about how much we love one another multiple times. My friends kept giving us water and told us to breath.

Around 10:30. We come down off the initial craziness. In fact, we are now able to laugh at the fact that the drugs were making us believe we were going to die. This is not even close to the end. When Y left us, he somehow ended up in another dorm, and a student who is on our campus EMS, and an RA, called an ambulance for him. Rumor has it that he had a seizure, but we do not know for sure. We were scared of getting caught, so X separates the rest of his tabs, folds up one tab, and sets it on his dresser, just in case. We wait on X’s bed, sitting upright, and soon enough the student who called the ambulance shows up with campus security, and the EMS team.

They ask us how we are, my memory is still fuzzy, but the entirety of the EMS staff comes in to X’s room, as we are both sitting upright on his bed. They take our vitals immediately, and tell us that they called an ambulance for a drug overdose, however we were able to refuse going to the hospital. Once that’s done, the EMS leaves, campus security stays, because they had already called the police, who showed up moments later. I remember 3 cops, one being a woman, who did most of the questioning.

Since we were already busted, we assumed it was best to tell the truth. I was worried the entire time that the room was going to be searched, in fact, in all the chaos that had occurred, I noticed a bag of weed laying on the floor that we had smoked on earlier. The cops asks us multiple questions, my memory is still fuzzy of everything they ask, mostly about the evening and the events that occurred. Eventually X tells the cops where the tab is, they take it, and she reads us our Miranda Rights. X is shirtless, shoeless, and in all the chaos has misplaced his wallet and his phone. I thought I was going to be arrested as well, considering she read me my rights, but she tells X to put on a shirt and find shoes. He then asks if he is going to be arrested, and the female cops says yes. At this point, I have moved off the bed and I am standing in the doorway. I have sobered up tremendously; in fact, I have to keep reminding myself that I’m on drugs. I look up at another cop, whom I remember was already looking at me with a disgusted look. I’ll never forget the look on his face, and how I immediately filled up with feelings of shame.
I’ll never forget the look on his face, and how I immediately filled up with feelings of shame.
They take my boyfriend into the hallway, cuff him, pat him down, and take him away. After all this, I am unable to process what has just happened.

From here, I am a mess, but I can’t cry. After the cops left, I went back into X’s room and take his weed and look for all the other drugs that he has in attempt to get them out of the room. I was unable to focus enough to find the rest of the drugs, only able to find the baggy of weed in plain sight. I was scared they were going to search the room and find more evidence.

Not having X there was terrible, I was lost, knowing I wasn’t going to be able to sleep. Around 2 AM I returned to my room, and decided to take a shower because I felt disgusting. I probably stood in the shower for a long time, the motion lights went off about 6 times, and they go off every 15 minutes, so that’s over an hour and a half. I think I rinsed my hair 3 times. Once out of the shower, I got a call from X from the local jail, calling to ask if I could pick him up at 9 AM on Sunday. Afterwards, I laid in bed until it was time to get ready to pick up X. Whether it was the stress from the evening, or being strung up on 25c, or a mixture of both, I didn’t sleep one bit. I lay in a dazed state, replaying the entire evening in my head.

Moral of the story, if you decide to take any type of drug, do so in a safe environment. If you are involved in something that you do not want to jeopardize, like my college education is for me, please be wary of doing drugs. And please be careful with the NBOMe’s, they are too new for anyone to know the long term effects, and seem to be unpredictable. If wanting to do acid, choose LSD, which has been on the books for quite some time. Please, please do your research, and be careful out there. When the real world comes crashing down on you, you don’t want to be strung up on drugs, they really can alter your life.
