Having heard many great things about AL-LAD, namely its visuals, shorter duration than LSD, and similar dosage, I decided to try it. Prior to this experience, compounds I've tried most similar to this in effects were LSD, 2C-B, Amphetamine, MDMA/MDA, and 4-AcO-DMT. Also, I take 50mg Vyvanse daily for ADD/ADHD.
0:00 - I take 150ug of AL-LAD and place it under my tongue, which I would hold there for approximately 30 minutes. There is no next-to-no taste, which is always a good sign. That slight liquid electric feel/taste under my tongue makes me feel as though this isn't just paper either.
0:05 - Possibly my first alert, but is also likely placebo this soon. My girlfriend (who has also taken some at approximately the same time as myself) and I decide to go to the store and shop for our dinner. +/-
0:35 - This was approximately when we were leaving the store. At the checkout, I could feel some of the first effects begin to take hold. The first alert that I really had was a sort of LSD-like feeling in my body, combined with a sort of warmth that comes from MDMA/MDA or Amphetamine. +
For some reason, I began to feel a bit more clumsy. I knocked over two bottles in the checkout on the conveyor belt. However, despite a slight decrease in motor coordination, there were no visual effects or changes in thought process at this time. My girlfriend was not feeling the effects yet, and was okay to drive home. +
1:00 - I began to feel a bit more clumsy. My motor coordination had not improved since the store, but wasn't much worse either. Stringing words together was a bit more challenging, meaning the mental effects were beginning. I could feel an underlying smile, which to me felt like a smile that was just waiting to break through - normally I get a shit-eating 'tripping' grin on my face, but it felt muddled in this instance.
We put on a nature documentary, and as we were watching it, the visual effects were beginning to emerge, but were minor. Sure, there was some contrasting, a slight tracer, a bit of color enhancement.
At this point, I feel intoxicated. My thinking was still clear, but I felt as though I was tripping, too. I decide to dose another 150ug of AL-LAD to bring out the effects profile more. ++
1:20 - Effects are still growing, and the effects from the second tab begin to take hold. Visuals are increasing in intensity, beauty, vibrancy, richness, and depth. Some melting and morphing begins to happen at this point as well, as does patterning. Very visual, certainly. But still clear-headed. I eat some food, which tastes better than when I'm sober, but not significantly. Appetite has increased as well. +++
1:45 - Some nausea is present, particularly when I move around. The second tab's visuals are really beginning to increase by this point. As we are watching a nature documentary in HD, patterning began to show through, and as I had written in my notes 'Colors. Holy fucking shit.'
Patterning was particularly interesting, as it was most similar to those 'what it looks like when computers dream' style patterns. Where it looks kinda trippy, colorful, slightly DMT-esque, etc. This was something I found unique to AL-LAD's effect profile. The patterns were about as geometric as they were organic, leaning more towards organic.
Time dilation picks up significantly around here. +++
2:15 - The orange sunrise in the movie 'Prince Avalanche' is gorgeous and vibrant. Throughout that movie, it felt as though the saturation was significantly increased. I couldn't tell if that was the movie itself, me, or a combination of the two.
Mentally, it was starting to get a little less clear-headed. It felt like a good old classic LSD trip in a few ways, too. For some reason, I always get the same deep, intangible feeling on LSD (and its derivatives), and it held true for this as well. Very difficult for me to describe, but it's a light-hearted, quirky, goofy, joking theme of thoughts. +++
3:00 - Tactile sensations are overwhelming at some points. Throughout the trip, I experienced a bit of bruxism (jaw-clenching), and it wasn't really letting up since the trip started. Was it as bad as MDMA or MDA's jaw clenching? Not particularly. But it was significant enough to be noticed. Visuals are still very intense. +++
I become acutely aware of my nasal congestion, which is a result of amphetamine wearing off. +++
4:00 - My girlfriend and I decide to clean a pipe with alcohol, collect the alcohol into a pyrex dish, and evaporate off the alcohol to get the cannabinoids which had condensed and collected on the walls of the pipe. We used an electric hotplate on low temperature to boil off the alcohol. Once the alcohol had boiled off, I needed to ventilate the kitchen. Doing all of this while on AL-LAD was not too difficult, but rather felt almost natural.
Shortly after doing all of this, my girlfriend and I scrape together the residue of cannabis to make sort of hash, and then proceed to smoke it with tea leaves. +++
~5:00 to 6:00 - My girlfriend and I discuss a lot. It started with an idea I had about using ferromagnetic fluid to absorb vibrations and perfectly, motionlessly suspend objects, using the acoustics of the Earth around it and inverting it.
However, the conversation then got shifted, and the bulk of the conversation was mostly about my anxiety about various issues in my life. It was difficult to talk about, and I had trouble really collecting or articulating my thoughts and feelings. Perhaps the AL-LAD was not as clear-headed as I had thought. I felt a bit more emotionally vulnerable as well.
During this time, the majority of effects began to wear off. ++
8:00 - My girlfriend and I feel exhausted, but are unable to sleep. No visuals were present at this time, and thought processes were back in order, but yet, I was unable to sleep at this moment. Faint closed-eye visuals still occur around this time, mostly of rainbow hexagonal shapes. +?
11:00 - Finally able to sleep. My dreams consisted of reminiscing about the drug's effects, as well as other things. My girlfriend falls asleep shortly after.
Overall summary and comments:
This compound is unique, but is most similar to LSD.
In terms of its duration: It's like 4-AcO-DMT in that its come-up is relatively quick, and the bulk of the effects come and go over the course of about 4-8 hours (6-7 hours being about when I felt I was really coming down)

In terms of effects, obviously it's closest to LSD/1P-LSD. However, unlike those, it's more visual, and has a bit more body load. Like 2C-B, it's very colorful and visual, and has a bit of a clean, energizing body high. Like LSD, there's color-shifting, visual acuity, and patterning. I didn't get a chance to look at the stars on this at night, but I would imagine they would color-shift through the rainbow like LSD and 1P-LSD do. Like MDMA and MDA, I got a considerable amount of bruxism, which didn't really go away until about the time I could finally sleep.
Music and taste enhancement were modest, nothing spectacular, but noticeable. Appetite was relatively unaffected.
The only things I didn't really like about it were just the bruxism, and how I couldn't sleep after I thought the effects had worn off. It was like half of the trip wasn't there in that sense - tripping for 5-6 hours, then sobering up for the next few hours. Another thing I didn't really care for was needing 2 tabs (300ug) to get a good-and-proper dose, but there's not much I can do about that.
