Twas the day before Christmas and all through the house, not a single thing was stirring, not even a mouse…

That is until this afternoon. As I was rummaging through the medicine cabinet to find my allergy meds, I found some old Xanax/alprazolam (1 mg) and Klonopin/clonazepam (0.5mg), both generic versions. I had literally nothing to do and the combination of boredom and loneliness pushed me to experiment . I have no prior experience with benzos, but I’ve heard a lot of good things, especially for future uses for tripping. So why not give it a go? I was pretty tired due to a bad sleeping schedule and had minimal stomach discomfort (eating shitty food) and slight allergy symptoms. Before writing this, I had been taking notes on my phone, so this report will be expanding on those:

2:40pm | Taken 1mg of Xanax.

3:08pm | A heavy stoned sensation in addition to a general lack of stress, aggression, and a mild feeling of contentment.

3:16pm | Noticeable effect on my attention span—can’t seem to pay attention to things that well/easily distracted, very carefree feeling. Effects similar to codeine and cannabis, but without the euphoria of the former and without as much of the mental haze of the latter. Some body load at this point, especially heaviness in limbs (I was still sitting down at this point). The heavy stoning sensation has eased up.

3:35pm | Body load intensified, slight disorientation and motor instability.

3:38pm | Another 1mg of Xanax taken.

3:45pm | No desire to do anything, but still a feeling of contentment mixed with apathy. Difficulty remembering what I just decided I wanted to do.

3:50pm | Pleasant drowsiness kicking in, contentment moves more towards apathy about my surroundings.

4:00pm | Much more drowsy. Fine motor skills becoming far more impaired. Slight stoning sensation present but no euphoria.

4:10pm | Strong head buzz, impaired/blurred vision, difficulty typing/writing. Difficulty maintaining conversations (with my mother no less), and conveying ideas becomes a chore.

4:20pm | Losing control of thought patterns, slurring speech. Body load quite heavy, mind still hazy but still “viable”.

4:33pm | Heavy body load, mental state still hazy but nothing compared to cannabis. I feel incredibly lazy. My allergies and stomach issues aren’t bothering me anymore.

4:40pm | Walking is really hard, comparable to being moderately drunk. Very apparent motor impairment (would never drive on this shit, at this dose). Fruity gummy snacks taste awesome.

4:45pm | Roughly 1.25-1.5mg Klonopin taken (because why the fuck not).

5:15pm | Still stoned feeling, food very much enjoyable.

5:30pm | Memory starts fading in and out, similar to “browning out” on alcohol. INTENSE motor impairment, total lack of attention span.

**AT THIS POINT I DON’T REMEMBER TAKING THESE NOTES** :
5:45pm | Time is moving differently, similar body feeling to Vicodin but no euphoria, heavy body load and physical exertion of any type difficult, slight confusion setting in.

8:30pm | I woke up, no memory of falling asleep or taking the notes from “5:45”. Feels like I blacked out, but no hangover. Restful sleep, but body and mental effects still slightly present.

8:45pm | Attempts to get up very difficult, slight disorientation and dizziness, “top-down” body stoning, mental effects mostly subsided. Afterglow not unenjoyable.

9:40 | Mental effects subsided, but still hazy. Body load still heavy, slurring speech slightly, emotional/empathetic effects wearing off.

10:05pm | Mental clarity back, body still feels heavy/disoriented.

11:20pm | All effects worn off completely. Feel quite good, almost like a post-opiate experience. Still some loss of memory and spaces in time.

12:17am | Back to baseline completely. Afterglow is contentment, somewhat chill.

Overall: Would try this again, but not frequently because of availability and danger of dependence. But DEFINITELY going to use some of this on my next intense trip. Hopefully tonight's sleep will be restful :)
