This was my first experience with a true psychedelic. I have only done DXM before this (~12 times). I dosed at roughly 10 pm.

I just looked at the tab of paper for a while and then after 2 or 3 minutes I finally summoned the courage to chew it up and swallow.

I watched two episodes of The Office and began to feel kind of stoned, but with clear thinking. Then I put on a movie called Rubber. It's a comedy about a tire that kills everything. And as the stoned feeling got stronger it started to feel like there was a pressure around my head but that at the same time my head was completely empty. At this point I noticed that my emotions and sense of empathy were very strong. (To the point that I was unable to look at gore without wincing or shying away which is not normal for me).

I began to feel very tingly, very euphoric, and everything was overly-hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing and my body felt as light as a feather. (I can't stress this enough, I literally could not stop laughing) Colors began to stand out more and things became brighter. I started to get weird visual disturbances around my peripheral vision.

I became bored with the movie and started exploring my room. At this point the visuals became very noticeable. The walls were breathing - moving in and out in a rhythm. The ceiling was rippling and waving - like the hot air above cars at a red light. I stared at my bedroom door and the wood grain I was focusing on started to replicate and pop up all around itself, expanding outward in a sweeping motion. I was absolutely captivated by these visuals, but having not other experiences to compare them with I can't give a good opinion on how strong or unique they were compared to other psychedelics.

Everywhere I looked things were moving and alive. I felt completely at peace and incredibly happy. I started listening to music and my body began to tingle, the feeling was nearly orgasmic.

After the visuals died down I realized I was no longer giddy and laughing but very mellow and thoughtful. I sat in silence on my bed for a couple hours just thinking about myself, my current path in life, and the world for the remainder of the night.

Overall, this was the most amazing thing I've ever experienced. The only downside was that I was unable to sleep until +06:00 after dosing, I just couldn't tame my racing thoughts. It was as if every thought had a fully developed root system I could delve into, a neverending series of questions and answers. I've never felt as if my thoughts were so propelled. As if I wasn't driving my own brain and instead my thoughts were being calmly but firmly pushed from behind.

This was the perfect introduction for a beginner like myself. At no point did I ever feel uncomfortable or scared. Instead of being confused or worried about my altered state I was insatiably curious. I can't wait to try a higher dose.
