DLPA Potentiates Opiate

Last night (9 pm), I came down with an incredibly painful toothache that sent waves of pain from the center of my molar all through my gums. My roomate had some hydrocodine pills (7.5) which I took along with 2 DLPA that I purchased a few months earlier at a local healthfood store. I bought the pills hoping they would help me concentrate on schoolwork but they failed to do so and I tossed them in my drawer.

Last week I was doing research on pain relief and I came across a journal article in Med Hypotheses (Oct. 2000 vol. 55) describing how DLPA boosted opiate analgeses (?). Recalling that, I crushed 2 750 mg pills in a glass of water and chased the hydrocodine with it. Before I went to bed, I noted how incredibly well just 7.5 mg of Hydro took care of my toothache. The next day the tooth began to bug the hell out of me until it got so bad that I took another Hydro, this time without any DLPA to see if it made a difference. Well my tooth didn't get much better and pretty soon I was losing my mind with all the pain. I headed to the campus infirmary, and they gave me the number of a dentist, which I called, but he couldn't take me until the next morning. The nurse gave me 20 Tylenol #3s (30 mg Codiene, 300 mg acetaminophen) which she said would take care of me until I could go to the dentist. By this time my tooth was absolutely KILLING me! If you've ever had a bad toothache before you know how painful this can be. I've never broken a bone or gotten stitches in my life, but this was the most pain I've ever been in.

As soon as I got back to my room I downed one of the Tylenol #3s along with 1500 mg of DLPA. That was about 5 hours ago and right now I feel absolutely NO pain, its unbelievable.
