I have some pretty extensive experience with a variety of psychedelics. Although all psychedelics are tools with a variety of uses, and therefore equal under the eyes of God, the Universe, the source of all light, The Cluster, whatever you want to call it. The 2c-Xes I find particularly fascinating.

While 2c-E blew my mind (and continues to blow it when I reflect on the experience) and 2c-D has a much gentler charm with its delivery of the universe and a shorter duration of aftereffects than the E. The 2c-C was a delightful middle ground. Peaked and done in two hours with a couple of hours of aftereffects, yet very intense during its duration.

It felt to me like 2c-C was closer to the red pill territory of 2c-E than the blue pill territory of 2c-D. Other people may have had different experiences. I would compare the E to harsh Catholicism, the D to softer Episcopalian Anglicism, and the C to various nondenominational/Pentecostal churches in dying strip malls everywhere. Yes, it may be possible to catch some snake dancing or faith healing on C next time a revival comes to town. In fact, it might be a perfect opportunity to explore its majesty through a ride along with the absurd.

At times the C felt dogmatic like the E, as if both were trying to teach me some things about the universe that they insisted were true. Both of those experiences, however, came loaded with their own paradigms with some overlap. Both also seemed to reveal genetic memories, which is a topic for another report (and also experienced with other types of psychedelics). Both also seemed to have themes of ancient machines operating behind masks that get updated every now and then. The 2c-D on the other hand ran off soft power and kind of said “believe what you want; what is, is, and you’re just an ego buzzing around the order of the universe'.

In summary, 2c-C in my experience is a shorter-acting 2c-E, maybe a little less intense (although that claim depends on a variety of circumstances). It should definitely be voted a runner-up for the legendary magical half dozen because when you get old, you just don’t have time to commit to long-acting psychedelics like some of the other 2c-Xes, LSD, mescalines, and the ungodly bromodragonfly-type-chems. We stand to learn a great deal from all of these substances, but I think 2c-C an excellent teacher of the universe. Its lessons may not be as deep and lasting as the lessons of others, but sometimes the Cliff’s Notes will work just fine.
