A Threshold Experience

Prior to this I had experimented with Salvia to the extent of producing the common mild effects such as the mental introspection, body buzz, etc. These experiences were great but left me wanting more, as they seemed like a teaser for lies ahead. I was of course interested in the elusive full blown trip that I've read so much about so I purchased the heavy hitter (10x extracted) in order to guarantee my success.

I had popped a pill earlier and was 'rolling on E' as they say. I was feeling good so I decided that this would be a great time to try this out seeing as I was free from any trip corrupting emotions like anxiety, etc.

A friend of mine was 'baby sitting' me and had never seen this before so didn't know what to expect. I packed a bowl and proceeded to hit it.

First hit. Nice large lung-full of smoke. I kept it in for about 15 seconds. No real effects.

Second hit. Same as before but I could definitely feel it this time. A feeling as though something (?) was enveloping me from the back. Interesting.

Third hit. This was enough. I handed the pipe to my friend and proceeded to lie back. Impossible to describe. This initial feeling as I was coming up felt as though the universe had tore open behind me and I was falling in. I got the heavy sensation and had a definite feeling of movement and eventual envelopment. All I could say at the time was 'Holy shit!' as the feeling was definitely strong.

Visuals! I never see visuals. It was almost as if I were dreaming and the real world just faded out and my dreaming imagination took over.

I felt like a wall made of wood. Definitely wood. No idea why. Perhaps there is some psychological meaning to that, but who knows. A wall that extended out to infinity in every direction. A connection with the universe I suppose. My minds eye which took over my peripheral vision showed this to me. I grew larger and grew in complexity. Then it began to fold into me. I was coming down.

Very intense and interesting trip but I didn't break through! Maybe next time.

I was fully coherent during this trip because I was trying to relay the feeling as best I could to my friend. In retrospect this certainly diminished the trip as I was fighting it the whole time.

Perhaps I will try holding the smoke in longer, perhaps smoking more if possible, and I will make sure not to fight the experience next time.

Definitely worth the experience.
