Setting: a classical 'hippy house' from the counter culture in a modern era.

Set: I'm in a good state of mind, with a few of my closest friends and girlfriend.

The first time I arrived at this 'hippy house' my girlfriend did the 5-meo-dmt and I simply observed. The leader of the house gave a long spiel so that we knew what to expect from this new experience. He told us that people in prior sessions had a tendency to roll around the floor, so we all sat around in a circle with pillows to prevent people from bumping into furniture. The device we used to smoke the 5-meo-dmt was rather unique. It was a clear tube that contained a heating element powered by an external battery, with another, smaller clear tube attached as a mouthpiece. The heating element had no settings but was designed to vaporize the 5-meo-dmt at the correct temperature. Argon gas was pushed into the tube through the mouthpiece after 5-meo-dmt was weighed and placed on the cold metal of the heating element. The argon gas lifted up a rubber stopper inside the larger tube, which created a space for the 5-meo-dmt to vaporize without oxygen. The pipe was passed around and a smooth, almost tasteless vaporized form of 5-meo-dmt would be inhaled by whoever was willing to participate.

The first time was at this house, I observed between 5-7 of my friends inhale the 5-meo-dmt while the leader of the house played live music for us. I sat around with one of the pillows, helping out when people were rolling around the floor, out of their mind. I actually sat with my girlfriend while she tried it, with her head lying in my lap, and she told me she had a wonderful experience, but there were no words to describe it. One of the participants threw up all over the floor during her experience, and we made sure she didn't choke on her vomit. Some people who were new to the psychedelic experience or sensitive were given small doses (~ 5mg) initially, before trying a higher dose (~ 10mg). Others volunteered to plunge into the deep end with ~ 17mg or more weighed out onto the heating element. Some people tried to strip off their clothes, and the leader of this house told us a story about someone having their first orgasm while in a state of trance. Overall most of the participants had a glowing experience, but it was a difficult for some people.

A few weeks later I returned with my girlfriend and a small group of 4 - 5 people. The night started with a long spiel (as usual), and I decided to go first. Fifteen milligrams of 5-meo-dmt was weighed and placed on the cold heating element. A canister of argon gas was pushed through the mouthpiece, into the clear tube, raising a rubber stopper 5-6 inches above the heating element. A battery was placed into the heating element, and I watched the 5-meo-dmt vaporize and slowly fill the chamber with white smoke. All of the 5-meo-dmt was completely vaporized, floating in the oxygenless cylinder. Our host held the pipe in his hands for a few moments, blessing it with loving intention, and slowly handed it over to me with a wide grin on his face.

As I inhaled it, I pleasantly surprised that the smoke wasn't hot at all, but it did tickle my throat. Within 10 seconds I saw a mandala and could no longer feel my body... I no longer had a body. I was made entirely of thought - very powerful sensations occurred in cycles - deja vu. I felt connected to a source of energy far greater than myself. It felt like love and light were coursing through the entirety of my being. Most of my experience was very abstract and cannot be described in words.

As I returned to my body, I felt very disoriented and dizzy. My perception of reality was like a kaleidoscope in time and space - broken, fragmented, mirrored, and multiplied. I oscillated between myself and a kaleidoscopic state of consciousness as I returned to my body form, which was a very disorienting. The one thing I remember coming out of the experience was that it's all about love, and that everything is okay. There was a period of extreme anxiety, and then a release, like a muscle in my brain was being massaged in an extremely therapeutic way. It was the ultimate release, the ultimate 'let go', and the only aspect of the experience I was able to verbalize was one of unconditional love from a higher source, myself, my mind, and something divine.

Conclusion: 5-meo-dmt opened something in my psyche that has lasted a very long time. I am writing this over years after my experience. The reason I titled this report 'the psychedelic of psychedelics' is because 5-meo-dmt hits the sweet spot, the hammer on the head on the nail, when it comes to the essence of the psychedelic experience. I'm not referring to visuals or contact or personal growth, but strictly in the literal sense of the meaning of the word psychedelic - 'mind manifesting'. It was like an out of body experience happening in a void made of pure thought. It also felt like I experienced the moment of my death, and I would get flashbacks for weeks / months. I'm very hesitant to try this substance again because it's very powerful, although I probably will one day. Love and light.
