A Strange Tianeptine High

I had been taking tianeptine in therapeutic dosages prior to this experience and having previous experiences with opiates, was not really seeking out such a high. However, at the end of my supply I looked at the remaining powder (approx 80mg) and realized that my tianeptine would probably go farther in a final 'high' rather than two and a half normal dosages. I had previously consumed modafinil and caffeine, and was quite speedy.

I had found that a 25mg dose of tianeptine on modafinil/caffeine made the stimulants last longer, as well as provide the subtle opiate properties physiologically and emotionally relief from such intense vigilance. This experience, of tianeptine on modafinil and caffeine, is fairly recreational in its own right, providing a clean euphoria which I can function on. I enjoyed this combination very much, and logically assumed that a higher, recreational dose of tianeptine would deliver a similar yet better experience.

When the tianeptine kicked in, I instantly felt relief from the stimulation (caffeine and modafinil are extremely powerful in conjunction with each other) and the opiate properties of the tianeptine is useful in mitigating the psychological perception of somatic discomfort (as all opiates do so well) while not actually having a somatic effect on such stimulation. This puts the user in an enjoyable state of euphoria and comfort alongside effective, productive stimulation - perhaps my favorite type of high.

The tianeptine grew in strength, and I found myself wrapped in bliss and comfort - mainly the latter - while still cognitively able to basically do anything I put my mind toward. One of my good friends who I had not seen in a very long time happened to come over and visit during this experience, and we enjoyed an excellent conversation. While my headspace was easily embedded in the mindlessness of the opiate high, the tianeptine was different than say the average vicodin experience. This mindlessness, while profound, was not debilitating. I held an intellectual conversation with my old friend with ease, while my genuine presence was virtually extinguished by the tianeptine. Yet, I was not just holding an excellent conversation, but I was quick and witty. To say this drug indulgence went unnoticed would be an understatement.

After wrapping up with my pal, the tianeptine began to wear off, and I experienced an annoying hangover which I have not experienced with other opiates. I was tired, stupid, and of course constipated - side effects which have negated such a desire to seek out further experiences like this one. I write about this experience simply because it was so unique; I have not felt anything like this since. Do I recommend it? Not particularly, it's undoubtedly a cardiovascular nightmare and the high lasted only two hours with the hangover lasting far longer. Still, I loved how functional I could be on such a strong opiate high, but the negatives outweigh the positives in this case.

To conclude, if I want euphoria - real euphoria - just take mushrooms.
