This is my report on the effects I experienced on my highest dose of pregabalin. Excuse my poor writing ability as it is about 10 hours into the experience and I still am very much under the influence, though the peak seems to be over. Sorry for the length of the report but I like to give as much info as I can. Scroll down for the experience if you want to. I started dosing 10 hours ago, and took my last dose 7 hours ago.

I will describe my experience from the start, in total I consumed and insufflated 250-300mg. I take sertraline, zopiclone, clonazepam and CBD oil. The only synergy/interaction I have experienced is with zopiclone. I was in a calm, yet apprehensive mindset, and was on my way out of a period of depression and alcohol abuse.

I found some pregabalin I had been prescribed last year for anxiety, and decided to experiment a little. I never expected that I would end up 'tripping' for lack of better words.

The come up:

The first 50mg dose produced a slight stoning effect, with some stimulation and a sense of wellbeing. There was also a warm and tingly body high. 50mg, overall, produced a slightly stoned, yet stimulating effect.

As I continued to re-dose, the stimulant effects became less apparent and a dreamy, dissociative feeling took over. I had some trouble walking, but nothing major.

I walked my dog and met the other dog walkers at the grassy area we meet at on the edge of the woods, and was very sociable, despite normally being an introvert. I found everything more enjoyable, and felt a strangley comforting dissociation, like being wrapped in a warm blanket, if that makes sense. The best I can describe it is like a combination of cannabis and a benzodiazepine.

I arrived home and took my last oral dose. It kicked in hard. I would soon realise that the doses were piling up, and the effects would only build further. I had forgot about the long duration high doses can have, and that it can take up to two hours for effects to really begin. Then I made a decision that was both stupid and wonderful; I opened a capsule, and ingested and snorted the bitter, sparkling white powder.

The peak:
Compared to cannabis or or other psychedelics and narcotics I have used, I find pregabalin's effects to be more mechanical, synthetic and forced, and less predictable.

The powder in my mouth and nose slipped down the back of my throat, and within minutes I was euphoric, and felt almost drunk, but only physically. Mentally, the effects were somewhat psychedelic, at least in the way that a high dose of cannabis can be. There were alternating waves of stimulation, even anxiety, and intense relaxation of mind and body. I drew art that I was rather proud of. Psychedelic drawings the likes of which I'd only ever produced before with potent cannabis or traditional psychedelics. Motor skills were now comparable to being drunk, yet mentally I was lucid.

Visual effects were now impossible to ignore. Objects breathed and wiggled, grew and shrunk. Tracers and after-images were common. Looking at my drawing the girl in it would wink at me every so often. White street lights outside were now shining a beautiful gold. Everything breathed gently. My room no longer looked the same. The atmosphere of my room alternated between peaceful and safe to dark and oppressive. The peak was not constant, it came in waves, peaks and troughs of intensity. Closing my eyes I would be pulled into a world of faint shifting dark patterns and shapes, some 3d and translucent. All blue or green. I felt like I was being pulled into some dark void, and I wasn't comfortable letting go so I avoided focusing on the visuals.

I also saw stationary images that looked like frames from a cartoon, static but detailed and colourful with vivid characters and scenery. I felt like I was in a dream world, it was all very 'Alice in wonderland' themed.

The body high was similar to cannabis, a warm, fuzzy, almost ecstatic feeling all over. It seemed I could literally feel all of my nerves and it was what I can only call total physical euphoria. My mouth was very dry and eyes droopy. My vision was blurred and fuzzy. Throughout the peak I was heavily sedated yet often restless and energetic at the same time. I also experienced some odd pains and muscle twitches, the munchies, and a need to urinate frequently.

While writing this I have been coming down gradually, in waves, and about 30 mins ago I was almost instantly sober. Just feeling a content and peaceful afterglow now. It's beginning to get light outside. The sky is beautiful, with colours of pink, peach, red and yellow all the way to turquoise and every shade of blue.

The next morning: going to sleep I became immersed again in a dream world, drifting in and out of dreams, some lucid. Falling asleep I experienced vivid dreams, the content and plot was crazy yet lifelike.

Currently I've just woken up and have a definite afterglow, but can function normally and am almost back to baseline.
This was a great experience, yes. Would I repeat it? Only time will tell.

Thanks for reading.
