Very recently I was prescribed Mirtazapine for sleep problems and low mood. I was instructed to take 15mg at nighttime preferably before bed to induce drowsiness. I decided to try it out a bit earlier than bed time.

18:45 15mg of mirtazapine was taken with a bottle of water.
19:30 - I started to feel a bit tired so I assumed it was working like it should
20:00 - Definitely feeling rather drowsy now and feel the urge to sleep.
20:45 start to feel a bit flu like and got an annoying sensation of chills so I go to bed fully clothed because I felt cold (my room was very warm!)

By around 21:30 I must of fallen asleep and woke up at noon after having a rather strange dream. I felt quite angry for no reason (I've read this was a rare side effect too on the leaflet of the drug) and still felt those chills from last night.

In conclusion I would compare the effects to 25-100mg dose of Benadryl and I don't plan on taking it again because the anger I felt the next day and the crappy sensitivity to cold temperatures sucked badly. Keep in mind this was first and last time I took this pill.
