Mild Sedative
Mugwort

DOSE:
1.5 g oral Mugwort (tea)
Caution: Many articles about mugwort say that it should not be consumed during pregnancy.

I infused 1.5g of mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) leaf in 150ml of boiling water, allowed it to cool enough to be drinkable, and drank it just before going to bed.

While falling asleep, I had brief (about 1 minute) hypnagogic hallucinations that were more colourful and vivid than usual.

My dreams were about the same as usual, with no noticeable change in dream content, level of recall, or lucidity. (I have lucid dreams about once a month without taking any special substances; I was not lucid under the influence of mugwort).

I slept very soundly, and for the following day I felt noticeably more rested, awake and alert than usual.

Five days later I tried it again, with very similar results.

For me, mugwort worked as a mild sedative, improving sleep quality and reducing tiredness the following day. Any effects on dream content or lucidity were too small to be noticeable with only two attempts.
