DOSE:
5 - 20 mg   2C-D
BODY WEIGHT: 140 lb
Applications:
There's great potential for 2C-D as a cognitive enhancer, as has been described in Lazar's booklet "Smart Pills". It can be a little "weird" in social situations, but definitely gives a non-pushy phenethylamine headspace in no specific direction which allows for the user to direct their thought processes however they like.

What does it feel like?
During the onset, 2C-D elicits a very mild stoning effect in which one may feel all the muscles in the face relaxing slightly. This may also feel like a kind of lethargy, but in reality is the crest of the wave of energy that will soon follow. If one is not unsettled by this relaxation feeling, then one is able to access the mind's capacity to make rapid abstract associations. It is possible that while the user may not be able to act on these associations in the moment, they will be able to in the latter part of the experience. Increased sociability, emotional sensitivity, and friendliness are effects of this medicine during the peak, though these effects do not seem disingenuous. The user may simply feel more capable of feeling goodwill towards others than they might otherwise. Conversation flows easily on this medicine and as such would make this a possible adjunct to talk therapy or even as a social lubricant in lieu of the more toxic and debilitating alcohol. If one is not familiar with the body feelings which accompany phenethylamine compounds, then the body buzz may feel a bit "strange". The headspace can also feel dreamlike and distracting for less experienced users. The only similarity to 2C-B is the overall energy and maybe some body feel. 2C-D is more similar to 2C-C than 2C-B. I could imagine it being somewhat psychedelic around 20mg. It seems to really shine at the 5-15mg range and I would say that the 15 mg side is more suited for creative/social applications...analytical and information processing tasks are better paired with a lower dose.

Routes of administration:
The oral dose seems to gradually build up to the plateau and that can be a bit uncomfortable in public settings depending on how sensitive one is, of course. Very minor pupil dilation as well, which makes it nice for being out in public. Though there is more sensitivity to light and things can look a little "different". Halos can easily appear around lights and people during the 2-3 hour mark. Taking the dose (usually around 20mg) in a ginger tea over the course of an hour or two can provide a much smoother comeup time with little to no "rush". A slight phenethylamine rush/transition is apparent during rectal and oral administration. 6mg plugged has been almost better than the oral dose, with the rush leveling off much sooner than an all-at-once oral dose. 5mg IV was interesting, but only in the sense of feeling such a rapid flush of a phenethylamine wave come and go. The duration was too short and the peripheral side effects (jittery feeling, heart rate increase, lethargy) too great in number to consider this being a reasonable ROA. The others work just fine. Rectal administration seems to be the most efficient ROA for phenethylamine compounds, including MDMA, MDA, and all 2C-X molecules. This would not include mescaline, however, due to its large dose requirement.

I have used 2C-D extensively in a variety of contexts.

In small doses, 2C-D is a wonderful adjunct to a classy night out, such as a night at the opera or if one was to go out dancing. Proper dancing, not like mashed raving or anything like that. I mean like fancy footwork type situation. It is rather like cocaine in that sense, in that it very much allows the user to have good energy, fast mental capacity, and a general feeling of well-being. Where it differs from cocaine is that there isn't a sharp onset or sharp comedown. There isn't a hangover feeling. And you don't turn into a massive compulsive asshole after using it.

2C-D is also wonderful in small doses for studying material or doing mental work. See Smart Drugs by Lazar.

2C-D is, indeed, a much safer way to extend MDMA sessions, especially in a therapeutic context. There are times where after the booster dose (if the patient has elected to take it), the patient is still working through material and it seems like staying in the opened state would be useful. At that point, one can use 15-20mg of 2C-D to extend it without risking the kind of neurotoxicity that another MDMA redose could cause.

2C-D can also extend other trips and other drugs, it truly is a pharmacological tofu. Take it with caffeine and it will be more speedy, take it with psilocybin and it will stretch the psilocybin experience, take it with mescaline and one feels like the mescaline is lasting even longer (I don't know why someone would do that but to each his own), etc.

It is perhaps the most versatile psychedelic that has ever been synthesized. Hopefully it continues to be made and shared for many years to come. On a related note, DOM can be used similarly as a smart drug at doses of 300-600ug. It does have a more speedy character but it works quite well.
