DOSE:
4 g oral Kratom
BODY WEIGHT: 280 lb
I started experiencing with Kratom as a way of facing some personal issues and in order to lower my anxiety brought on by relationship and social events. I am a healthy male in his mid 30's that does not smoke tobacco nor drink alcohol. I occasionally trip on DXM maybe three times a year and use marijuana a few times / month.

My Kratom series of experiences started in late 2018 as a way of my wanting to appease my social anxiety. First dose was around 2 grams in Dec 2018 in capsule - Maeng Da. Felt close to a codeine rush but more subtle and stimulating. So far so good. Continued taking Kratom every now and then through January, increasing my dosage to 4 to 6 grams / servings. When things got bad in my relationship, during some weekends I took the said quantity of 4 to 6 grams in order to keep anger and stress at bay. This was not an everyday habit and I never sensed any signs of a physical addiction. Around February 2019, two days after a weekend where Kratom was consumed two days in a row in rather small to moderate quantities, I started having very bad pains in my lower abdominal areas that I attributed to gastric issues.
I started having very bad pains in my lower abdominal areas that I attributed to gastric issues.
Went online and to my MD and was prescribed an antacid. Nothing was found otherwise. The pains were severe and I thought I had an ulcer. Stopped Kratom altogether for almost two months after reading several reports online claiming the same.

Some people recommended Kratom tea in order to avoid gastric irritation so around April 2019 I started brewing tea. After the first weekend of April, Kratom was consumed, this time I ordered a Bali extract. Again the pains appeared around the middle of the week after ingestion. This time I precisely noticed weak erection and difficulty in achieving orgasm. While masturbating, noticed my testicles were shrunk and very painful. Same with urination. The pain in my abdomen also radiated to my kidneys. The intensity was quite severe, would give it a 7 on a 1 to 10 scale. Needless to say, I quit taking Kratom altogether and the pain subsided but only after three weeks or so which was quite disturbing.

In October of 2019 with a new CBD shop in town, I decided to buy some high quality liquid Kratom shots as I was alone for the weekend. These were a Maeng-Da extract 2 grams / serving. Drank two shots on Saturday and liked the mild high. However, by Wednesday the pain in my testicles radiating to my kidneys returned. It was the same, quite severe ache I had before, the cause of which this time I identified right away. It took a whole week for my testicles to return to normal and all pain to subside.

All in all this plant is not that well studied and I believe it is very aggressive on the body to be used as medicine. Opiates, when used in moderation have way less sides with no adverse effect on my sex drive. For anxiety I would take other alternatives like Phenibut - but that is a different story. Thanks for reading
