MDMA Macrodose Journeys
I am gender non-binary and female. Since Dec 2018, I've had 4 MDMA journeys to process trauma and recover from PTSD. Journey dates were Dec 2018, Feb 2019, March 2019, and July 2021. My first journey occurred at age 50. My most recent journey occurred 2mos before turning 53.
Each journey involved 200-280mg of high quality MDMA ingested at the start of the journey. Journey length typically varied from 8-12hrs. Each involved a progressively more difficult physical recovery, to include tiredness, emotional exhaustion, dizziness, blurred vision and increased heart rate. Even though the 3rd and 4th journeys were 2+ years apart, the physical after-effects for journey 4 were notably more challenging and lasted longer (more than a week) than the after-effects for journey 3.
The positive mental health outcomes have been remarkable. I no longer qualify for a complex PTSD diagnosis, and I've been enabled to accept and effectively cope with the unexpected loss of a 10-year relationship with a spouse. This medicine has been powerfully good for my mental well-being, and the physical after-effects have been increasingly challenging to bear.
