Preface:
I have light/moderate experience with various Phenethylamines. This will be my first time consuming a compound in the 25x-NBOx family.

Set/Setting:
Starting off the night bored and unsure of what to do. I just acquired some new 25B-NBOH blotters dosed at 2mg and I am really excited to give them a shot. I had plans to go to a party, but I was unsure whether they would fall apart or not. It wasn't looking like much was coming together so I bit the bullet. I’m sitting in my dorm room next to my sleeping roommate trying my best not to wake him up because he is a very light sleeper, and questionably comfortable with my drug use.

Experience:
At 11:05PM place the tab on my tongue and almost immediately taste the bitterness coming from the blotter. As time goes on it absorbs into my tongue and creates a numbing sensation. For the next 20 minutes as I kill time on my Xbox the numbing worsens in the upper front half of my tongue. It’s almost uncomfortable… I feel like I am coming up but I am not sure if it’s placebo. Experiencing mild vasoconstriction and muscle tension, and slight visual/auditory distortions. We will see what happens.

Visual distortions begin seeping into my field of view. The simulated trees and grass in my video game have much more detail, the screen slowly begins breathing. I step out of the dark room and into the bright hallway. I notice a strong difference in the environment as I walk to the bathroom, the carpet is noticeably more saturated with new colors, along with significantly enhanced pattern recognition. The geometry applied onto everything around me is particularly metallic, sharp and vibrant.

In the mirror, I see my face and the objects around me move. My skin is flowing and covered in patterns bleeding out color. Not in a literal sense, but as if different shades are escaping from everything that moves. Since leaving the room, it looks as if there is another level of depth to it, every crevice of every surface is sharp yet filled with color.

The time is now 11:51PM. Without moving, I watch myself In the mirror. My pupils will then enlarge and then shrink back, repeating the cycle. Both pupils are moving asynchronously. I attempt to record it happening, but then it stops. I can’t tell if I’m hallucinating my pupils moving or not.

I walk into my friend's room across the hall, they are unaware I have taken anything and I intend on seeing how far I can go before they notice. No one noticed anything different with me at first. Visual and auditory hallucinations get stronger and stronger. I’m seeing how long it takes for them to notice. As my friends move around, I see duplicates follow closely. These are more blurred out, this also happens when I move my hands and legs. Every object is radiating with geometry and color. The keys on my keyboard are morphing and changing in size as I type.

There is a static hue over everything. This reminds me of 2C-B but still very very different. My friends have no idea I’m tripping right now and I think that's hilarious. I’m trying to hold myself back from breaking down in laughter. There is newfound detail to every part of the song we are listening to, aspects which I would have never noticed normally.

The come up has come to a plateau. I find no difficulty walking to the door, where I find myself staring back in a mirror. My pupils are huge, and my hands are ice cold. Shapes have been emerging and dissolving from the edges of everything around me, it is a beautiful sight no other psychedelic has given me in the past.

At 1:51AM, I spent the beginning of my morning sharing laughs with some new friends. I tell them all what I was on. They were just as surprised as I was about my ability to keep it together. Not bothered, but I considered this a successful challenge. With experience, I can see how many others would find similar functionality as I have.

An important thought occurred to me in the midst of our gathering. Ego is built on nothing but itself, who I think I am and aspire to be is built on my own ideas and brain chemistry. We are matter interacting with itself. I am matter interacting with itself. For the first time in a while, I can consciously observe my surroundings without the context of being human.

The effects mostly came down by 3:10AM. There isn't a lot of geometry, yet there is strong visual acuity. Everything looks VERY crisp. Me and my friends walk to a nearby parking garage to pass around a joint. I take a couple hits, which bring back the psychedelic headspace and geometry. The shapes have a spectrum of different colors as they radiated like before. On the way back, I did feel something along the lines of derealization. In the moment and throughout the night It occurred to me that events very well could have been coming together as a part of something bigger. People and activities being strung out for a purpose I didn't understand.

Conclusion:
On its own, I found this experience with 25B-NBOH to be very functional. The headspace was forgiving, and encouraged both socialization and physical movement. I was capable of hiding the effects, albeit the behavior was not indistinguishable from my sober self. Introducing cannabis on the comedown brought back many visual effects, and an even stronger headspace. I can imagine this could be overwhelming given a different set/setting. Also, I assume my own experience with psychedelics made it easier to navigate through surreal and potentially uncomfortable thoughts.
