(Note: I'm pretty sensitive to psychs; these doses were based off of others' trip reports, and seemed to work well for me.)

I purchased some phenibut off a legal nootropics site; it was shipped to me without problems. It's a white, odorless powder.

Dose A (1.5g; nootropic/"upper" dose)

I typically take phenibut dissolved in water; it doesn’t taste great (astringent) but is easier/probably better for my sinuses than snorting it, and I don’t have gelatin capsules at the moment. Come up takes about 1-1.5h.

Effects are initially subtle: increased focus, good mood, socializing is easier, conversation comes quickly and naturally. Very easy to hyperfocus while on it (I typically end up spending anywhere from 3-6 hours on a project uninterrupted). These effects become stronger with time, but it never quite makes me feel "fucked up" high; if I'm out and about I wouldn't have to try to appear sober . However, would not recommend taking this at work, especially if the work involves interacting with others or using heavy machinery. It also increases sexual arousal, though climax can be difficult to achieve (not as intense as coke/MDMA/typical uppers, but definitely present).

Effects last from onset to between 12-16 hours afterwards. Range is so wide because usually I end up falling asleep before they’ve faded, and wake up close enough to sober that I can’t tell if it’s still affecting me or not.

Very fun at this dose! Does not seem to interact with any other drugs; have taken weed, ketamine, alcohol, etc and had no issues. Keeps me in a very positive mindset, might be nice to take alongside psychedelics in order to help keep a positive mood through a trip.

Dose B (>3g, depressant dose)

Same onset time, 1-1.5 hours. Initially feels much the same as Dose A, but quickly changes into a more “drunk” feeling. Body is disjointed and hard to maneuver even though brain feels comparatively sober. Almost impossible to walk straight. Strong feelings of sleepiness and fatigue as is typical for depressants.

This would all be fun, but due to the extremely long effect time it’s typical to wake up post-nap still too high to walk properly. Eventually, effects will fade to be similar to Dose A for a brief period, then fade altogether.

In my experience this dose is less fun , and I would not mix with other depressant substances. The lack of control over movement is really, really disorienting to the point where it’s most safe to take this high a dose at home when I know I have nothing to do the next day.

Overall: a fun little chemical with a lot of potential! I haven't noticed any problems w/r/t withdrawal or addictive tendencies, but I also haven't taken it more than 1x a week.
