At about 7 or so, I found some Kratom powder in the back room of the smoke shop where I work. I texted my boss and asked him about it. He said that I could have one of the bags for free, roughly 19-20g. I mixed about 2-3 pretty substantial, heaping spoonfuls of both red and green Maeng Da, raw leaf. Around 10-15 minutes later, I began to feel warm and fuzzy.

At this point, I began to feel like the damn Times New Roman font, sitting in my chair in a comfortably perfect position with great clarity and a sense of calm and order, just like the letters I type on this page. I genuinely enjoy typing out and editing this report word by word, unusual because I usually hate writing and editing. After this, I went and vomited, fiercely apathetic to the situation.

Next, I hit my dab pen and put on some psydub over the store’s speakers. I began to get tired and hot and so I went and sat out in the main room. After trying to redose a small amount, my body instantly rejected it, and I had to puke once more. After that, I felt more energized and awake, but every time my body or vision moved I would feel dizzy and slightly sick. Despite this, I still felt faded as hell and time actually passed by fairly quickly. (note: I had also taken between 20-40mg of vyvanse earlier in the day)

By 10:00, the effects had mostly worn off and I was left with a tingling feeling and slight flushing of the cheeks, as well as a “floaty” sensation, as if I had returned from a cosmic journey. I also sporadically kept forgetting to turn on music, literally content with anything.

The next day I drank some more powder mixed with mountain dew during my shift again. I had also taken 20mg of Vyvanse about an hour prior. I also continued to sporadically hit my dab pen, as well as some more diamond globs. I noticed that the usual pain/tenderness I usually get after taking fat rips was almost completely absent, as well as no uncomfortable sensations after hella coughing. At this point I felt nauseated from staring at a computer screen for almost half an hour; I came down from the high smoothly and felt “spacey” for a while late into the night. I enjoyed the mental clarity gained during the high, and would try it again, although responsibly, as kratom isn’t without its risks.
