A Chacruna Insight

Preparation:
Home grown Psychotria Viridis (Chacruna). Dry leaf tips pinched from the older leaf. Quantity no larger than a fingernail, smoked through a hashpipe. Prayer before and after to the plant spirit with the aid of burning Palo Santo. The air of the room is cleaned every day. Intention is always for healing and to strengthen the spirit over the primate ego. I have a high sensitivity to psychedelics and so the dosage may be considered small for others.

Experience:
Legs crossed, sitting in front of the plant. Looking out to a beautiful blue sky and Brugmansia in the neighbouring garden. I slowly roasted the Chacruna in a small hashpipe. Inhaling and holding for between 5-10 seconds. I exhale and close my eyes.

Two beings, one slightly larger than the other – imminent. Faint recollections of the beings seen in the Aboriginal rock art of Northern and Western Australia. They are comforting, watching over me, as if in a cradle of some design.

Earlier in the week I had a vision of my aura extending to my arm’s length, perhaps longer than fellow human beings may perceives one’s aura – if at all. In this space I felt keenly the space of being in a cradle (or dome) which is common in the experience of DMT-containing plants, and, especially that of the size of the dome, which was exactly arm’s length. I tested it by opening my eyes, stretching out my arms then closing them once more. I see and feel my arms line up exactly with the circumference of the dome.

One eye, then two, several, a dozen, then hundreds more begin to litter the space. Watchful, shy and curious. They are feminine with beautiful black almond outlines, much like myself and my own eyes. At this point it occurred to me that I am as they are, infinite, divine and loved. I lie down.

Then, a fun idea developed and fruited completely within the space of a few seconds. We are all an advanced alien civilisation of either four or more dimensions experiencing itself on a three-dimensional plane. Maybe it’s an experiment – one for the development or edification of the alien.

As beings we experience existence separately. However, it became apparent that we all come from the same source. All life on the planet is an experience of the alien civilisation as spiritual beings incarnate in physical bodies, be it flora or fauna. The challenge for those who choose to accept it is to experience life as a complex being, working up to the divine human in stages much like the Buddhist philosophy of reincarnation, and weather, in consideration of the challenges which present themselves to the human ego – or ‘the primate aspect of one’s self’ as I prefer to call it, they can overcome the need for war or other forms of vengeance to resolve issues, the goal will have been attained.

To practise unconditional love through all the pain and suffering. Love without words, without judgement, without the need for possession.

Afterglow:
My sensitivity to the Chacruna gives me a strong physical sensation in heart and spirit for several days. Barriers fall down in my professional and personal life. The primate aspect of the self gives way to the divine spirit and unconditional love. Further lessons present themselves as gentle mantras in the hours and days post experience. When you’re in pain, put your hand on your heart for a while and feel the healing energy. Chacruna is medicine, I will use it as long as this body experiences this reality. Love always unconditionally.
