I got a perscription for ambien after hearing from a few of my friends that it was like tripping. I tried it a few times, but the last time I did it was unlike anything else. I started off taking one 10 mg pill and drinking some liquor. Within 15 min. the usual confusion came on.

Ambien is alot like Xanax for me, especially with how once I take a little, I end up taking alot more. Knowing this I left all the other pills at a different location across town. after about half an hour, in a very confused state, it seemed like I was being told by some outside force what to do. And the main thing it wanted me to do is drive across town and get more ambien. So I did, and kept blanking out the whole time. It is amazing I made it there and back alive.

After I returned and ate 5 mg's more, I drank alittle more, and found some whip-its I had lying around. Instantly after doing one I felt exactly like I was on strong acid, for a good 10 min. So I of course continued doing whipits. The 'force' telling me what to do got much stronger, and I began to hallucinate pretty hard, followed by disorganized speech and paranoia (all of this symptoms of schizophrenia). Before I knew it, the 'force' was once again forcing me across town to get MORE ambien. By this time I had no control over anything I was doing.

I took another 10 mg pill, drank more and put 5 whipits into one balloon. With the first breath from the balloon, time stopped and the room I was in became a never ending heaven-like place. Another breath on nitrous, the 'force' manifested and began to tell me all the secrets of the universe, and I was given the answer to life itself. the last breath of nitrous... the 'force' went away, the heaven-like place went away, and my memory of all the wonderful things I was just told left my mind. Most likely, whatever answer I was given was false, because I was so damn crazy at that point anything would have made sense. I haven't done ambien or nitrous since, assuming that I may potentially have some latent psychotic disorder that was just tapped into by the ambien.
