After meeting several advocates of psychoactives I decided that I should try to experiment with different drugs to see how I enjoyed different highs. I was given the perfect oppurtunity to do this over Winter Break, and the first druge I got my hands on was Cocaine. I scored a gram for $50, which is supposedly a good price for where I live.
After waiting an hour for my coworker's dealer to bring him some weed I finally got a chance to go home and try a line of my new substance. I was pretty much just plain anxious before snorting what I deem a small line. I've seen my brother do coke before and he always did about twice what I laid out. I wanted to start small just to be on the safe side. I put on some quiet music (Jewel/Pieces of You) and snorted my line through a McDonald's straw I had laying around. The first thing I noticed was, well, nothing. I know I wasn't smoking or freebasing, but I always heard about the instant high that all forms of coke provided. That really didn't happen to me, and in fact coming up was really slow. I didn't notice the exact second I felt any effects but I did feel the first piece of nasal drip numb my throat.
The high seemed pretty different from what I'm used to. Instead of feeling like sitting around listening to music I started pacing the room and thinking ways I could describe what I was going through. My mind was completely focused on trying to come up with an ingenuis way of describing my method of walking. As far as energy goes, I felt like running up and down the street. It was 11:30 at night but I felt like I woke up from a refreshing nap. As far as feeling like king of the world for 15 minutes, that didn't happen either. I simply had a rush of energy and was focused on the single 'most important' thing sitting of my mind. I still don't feel as if I've come down off of the initial energy rush (it is one hour later), so I am unable to comment on its addictive nature.
This is not anything near what I would describe pot; of course it isn't though-- pot is a psychotropic depressant and coke is a stimulant. I don't know if this was anything near the high I was seeking (actually I am seeking more of a trip). Of course, I knew that before I tried it by reading online. I shall continue onward toward my goal with other substances.
