Last weekend my friends and I decided to try out some Provigil and see how it compaired to other stimulants. We took 1 pill around 6pm (200mg) and began to feel the effects after about an hour. I felt very awake and talkative, and generally in a good mood. I was happy and energetic. I did not feel 'speed up' like on other stimulants, it was much more subtle and smooth.
Around 10pm we decided to go out to a bar and do some drinkin. We took another 100mg then went out. At the bar we were feeling pretty good, having some beer, chatting etc. After the first Stella, I felt pretty buzzed. More so than usual. Although I had not eaten I think the provigil had more to do with my beer buzz. After about 3 more beers I was pretty tipsy. I was wobbling around leaning on the bar not very talkative feeling kinda drunk and tired so I decided to take 2 more pills in my drunken retardedness.
After about 30-45 mins I started to feel the effects of those 2 extra provigils. I was no longer stumbling around drunk, I was much more aware and awake. Then suddenly I had some stomach pains and felt not so good. I went to the bathroom and had the major shits. Not fun. After getting all that out of me, I felt much better and left with my friends. Got home around 2:30. Now I am completely WIRED. I felt like I was on speed. I was very 'up' and unable to sit still. I felt good but at the same time I was too aware of my surroundings and was a bit aggitated / ADD. I kept arguing with my friend and picking fights with him. I felt like I had done crystal meth or something similar. I tried to clam down but couldn't so I took 2mg of Klonopin and an ambien and went to bed. I was only able to sleep for about 3 hours then woke up.
I felt like death the next day... Horrid Headache, bad mood, upset stomach, diarihia, no energy etc. I thought another provigil would make me feel better but it just made me in a worse mood. It's like staying for up 3 days on speed when you feel totally crunchy. I felt like that all day, it sucked.
Provigil is good for keeping me awake but I did not enjoy it as a party drug or staying up all night with it. It can be pretty rough on me and I feel just as bad as if I had stayed up all night doing shady coke or crystal.
