I packed my trusty pipe with a full bowl of the stamen (~1/4 gram) went outside and took a good hit. I was surprised how nice and smooth the smoke was (not like that extremely harsh dagga) and tasted quite nice. I thought, 'well at least it tastes good even if its not going to do anything' not even 2 seconds later (really I never felt anything hit me this quick, way faster than sally, or weed). At first I thought, 'oooh placebo effect nothing hits that fast', so I took two more hits. I dont think I should have done that (it was really stupid when dealing with something new) since seconds later I stopped trying to figure out if it was a placebo effect since it definately was NOT.
It started hitting me in waves and I was starting to get a little nervous since it wasn't supposed to be this strong and I was afraid I was having a bad reaction to it. I got all the nervousness (feeling like I might die/etc) I have had when having a bad trip (I have only had 2) and a strong spacy feeling which was weed-like. I centered myself and kept telling myself it was going to be cool, checked pulse, looked for signs that anything might be wrong or I was having an allergic reaction. Other than the STRONG nervousness there wasnt anything, which, along with my experience gained from tripping numerous times, comforted me a little.
The high was like when I smoked a LOT of weed, but was a clearer buzz. I could speak fine and hold a conversation no problem, but I felt REALLY REALLY high, floaty, and a little dizzy.

Well, there you go... I'm not quite sure what happened, I havent had much to eat today and I've also had 3-4 cups of coffee, but that's not abnormal for me at all. I don't know if I'm hypersensitive (or perhaps allergic) to this plant or if smoking the stamens is that much stronger than regular lotus but that 'almost' got out of control.
A quick background on me so you dont think I'm some sort of lightweight, haha. I have been smoking cannibus for ~20 years, during college I would smoke 3-5 times a day every day, now I'm an occasional smoker at maybe 1-2 times a week. I have done acid once, shrooms ~20 times, NOS 100's of times, Opium, DXM (yuck, but I had to try it 3 times to be sure :) ). Recently I have been checking out legal highs (ethnobotanicals) and have experienced Salvia about 15 times, with experiences ranging from level 1 to level 5 (where I hallucinated wildly and the TV started talking to me and I lost all ability realize I was on salvia). I have smoked dagga without much effect although extract isn't bad when mixed with weed. I have also tried kanna and Kratom.
I really wanted to submit this since I havent read anyone having this kind of experience, now I'm going to go enjoy this buzz.
