I know this goes back a ways, but Desoxyn may be the same now as it was in 1968. ADD? Never even heard of it then. As for Desoxyn, it was considered a desirable drug by speed users because it was a pharmaceutical and therefore unlikely to be adulterated (not that I was truly concerned with adulteration back then, though).

The prevalent method of preparation and administration should one have obtained Desoxyn - I believe the tabs were pale yellow - was to extract the active ingredient by simply allowing the tab(s) to sit in room-temp water.

What resulted was a clear, pale-yellow-tinted solution with little if any particulate matter. This was good, because admin was usually via I/V. Effects were, of course, immediate and pleasant. I found that injecting any kind of amphetamine could result in some short-lived nausea, but rarely if ever to the point of vomiting. After that it was a fun ride, until the inevitable crash, which while probably a bit less harsh than that from street speed, but still not much fun.
