Lorazepam--a premium buy of the benzodiazepines (or if your into that whole legality bit, a good prescription). In my opinion, Lorazepam is about 5 times as potent as Valium, a drug I have taken consistently over the years, mainly as a bi-drug supplementing my use of other chemicals (namely cocaine). I acquired some from a friend who had just been on a photo shoot in Vietnam where, apparently, they are sold over the counter. I popped 2 at about 6:00pm and headed to meet some friends at a disco. I live in Manhattan Beach, which geographically is about 40 miles away, but thanks to L.A. traffic, took about 2 and a half hours.

As soon as I got on the freeway, I was seeing double and feeling euphorically sedated. I am used to benzos, so I have ways around falling asleep at the wheel. After I got to the club, I felt the characteristic benzo high, where everything seems to be moving so fast because I'm moving so slow. The jumbled thought patterns and cool feeling was exactly what I needed. There were spacial distortions, and occasionally a peripheral 'hallucination' would occour, but nothing much of that sort, I prefer Acid if I'm trying to see shit. I felt warm and slightly empatheogenic, I kept wanting to cuddle with things and persons.

Dancing was not particularly high on my list of priorities due to the heavy bodily sedation. A bunch of my friends were taking lines of nose candy but I decided to refrain and keep my euphoric drunken state on the downer end of the spectrum. I had a drink (_A_ drink, as in _1_, I DO NOT DRINK ON BENZOS. IM PARTICULARLY TOLERANT ANYWAY AND ALCOHOL WHEN CONSUMED IN MODEST AMOUNTS DO NOT EFFECT ME LIKE THEY WOULD SOMEONE ELSE.) The drink only increased my sedation.

I got home at about 2:00am with most of the effects gone, minus extreme lethargy. I went to bed feeling great and had no trouble waking up the next morning. In fact, I felt rather refreshed (this is quite rare for a chronic user of cocaine, so you can imagine my elation at this prospect.) So, all in all, wonderful experience.
