We were at a bar and he showed me this big lump of hash that he had with him, probably the biggest I've ever seen! Anyway, after drinking a fair amount of vodka he walked me home- I wasn’t pissed, but fairly tipsy. As we got to my house he asked if he could come in for a couple of joints, which was ok of course. He asked me if I wanted to try something new, something which he affectionately called a ‘cup of bang’. I was intrigued. All it was was some milk heated up in a pan with some hash sprinkled into it. Simple. It sounded great. After all, I’d smoked it before and never had a bad experience with it so what harm could it do??
So he prepared the stuff while I watched eagerly. He poured it into a mug then we went and sat in the front room just chatting and stuff. He was smoking a couple of joints while I drank this ‘cup of bang’ . It wasn’t particularly nice tasting and was very slimy, but I drank it all anyway because I wanted to get the full effects.
During the first 40 minutes or so I was fine. We were just having a good night and I was feeling quite high. Then he had to go home so afterwards I decided to make something to eat. I was in the kitchen happily preparing some pasta when everything started to go weird. I was watching through the window at these lights that were dancing around, as if they were watching me. Suddenly my heart rate sky-rocketed to a pace I have never felt before. I have taken other drugs that have elevated my heart rate but never to this degree. I turned off the cooker and went to sit in the front room and tried to calm myself. I was playing my ‘Little Britain’ DVD so I tried to relax and watch that as if everything was normal but I just felt that my heart was beating faster and faster. I decided to go to bed and see if I could sleep it off but I felt that the effort of walking up the stairs almost killed me! By the time I got into bed I thought my chest was going to explode. I was convinced I was going to die.
By the time I got into bed I thought my chest was going to explode. I was convinced I was going to die.
An ambulance was called out and I managed to stumble down the stairs to get the door for them before collapsing back onto the stairs and this time I actually managed to throw up a bit for them. They were very nice people and I felt better now that I was in the company of other people. It was an incredibly embarrassing situation though, one which I would never want to repeat! I don’t know why I reacted so badly to it. Possibly it was the combination of the alcohol, or perhaps it was just a very large dose. I had always thought of hash as a very tame kind of drug. How wrong I was!!
