I have been taking this medication on and off, about 50% of the time, since I was approx. 19 years old. I suffer from chronic insomnia so I am not a 'normal' person, per se. For me 30mg of this stuff will relax me fairly well after about an hour and a beer or two. Two beers and 60mg will truly sedate me and I will be asleep within about 2 hours.

With that said, I have seen 30mg of this stuff, plus a couple beers, knock out a 150lb blackbelt friend like someone had hit him over the head with a hammer. It hit him so fast he went from having a conversation to being on the floor and crawling for his bed in little more than 45 minutes. Know yourself and know your limits. It is one of THE most effective and affordable prescriptions I have ever seen, bar none. If I was any old guy with insomnia, I wouldn't allow a doctor to prescribe me anything less. It costs about 12-13 dollars to get a 30 count script of 30mg caps filled.
