This was about 6 months ago and I've still never been able to forget this night. Before this plunge into another world I had used salvia many times before, most of the experiences had been friendlier. Always the world ripping in a clockwise direction peeling away like pages in a book. But this time I had been in a stressed out emotional state, I had just broken up with somebody I had been dating for a while and I decided to chill on the beach at around midnight alone to relax. Smoking the Salvia and hoping for something to ease my mind my very sanity was torn asunder.

First the usual ripping occurred like it always had the feeling of unreality all around me. But this time something was very wrong, I slowly felt as if I was sinking into the sand and suddenly I was pulled under. No longer in this world but one of shadows and full of horrors unexplainable to the human mind, I felt like I was going insane. That's when I saw what had pulled me under. Death himself a grim reaper of sorts faceless and cold as ice, I felt as if my entire life flashed before my eyes as Death laughed at me. A laugh so horrible the fabric of my life broke and twisted before him. After an eternity of madness I could feel the very fabric of reality undo itself and I vanished into nothing.

After what seemed like an eternity of nothing and darkness I awoke face down mouth full of sand screaming its 'Its not real! Its not real!' To the empty darkness of the night. I have used salvia many times before this and never met anything so terrifying. I had met a creature of darkness that lurks between worlds and I was almost consumed.

I have yet to use Salvia again but perhaps I will one day. My lesson from all of this is never use Salvia when in a distraught state of mind, for I may lose it all together.
