I have run across Modafinil plenty of times in my past and never tried it. I have a friend who is prescribed it for shift-work sleep disorder. My first trail was at 1000 mg taken shortly after I woke up. I went back to sleep to test its simulative properties. Of coarse I couldn’t get back to sleep and I just laid there for about 30 mins. I started to get the usual Ritalin induced stomach quarks. It keeps building for about an hour and half. The rest of the day I spent trying to find something to occupy my time but nothing seemed to interest me. I was wide-awake and it felt like I was on watered down meth. Boring non-the less. Later that night I decided to re-dose at 800 mg. I stayed up all night playing way to much css. I was doing surprisingly well given the fact that my hand was shaking very badly. It looked as if I was using cheap aim hacks. Lol

I have since taken Modafinil on several different occasions, mainly to get work done. The effects are quite enjoyable on a personal level. Some bad things I noticed that no one else really mentioned are paranoia, shaking, very high bp, and sinus problems. The sinus problems are the worse. I tend to get terrible headaches and have to put a wet towel on my head. All these effects are at the 1000 mg range and are more prone if I re-dose the same day. If I smoke weed with it, I will trip. One occasion I smoked a blunt and started to see objects re-pattern themselves in my peripheral (kind of like a geometric sequence or w/e they are called). Sometimes it has me believing that songs are directed towards me. Almost like amphetamine-psychosis. Very freaky shit indeed but can be handled by entertaining the thoughts rather then ignoring them. On one occasion I was sitting in my friends car while he went into the store. I decided to listen to some music. And the lyrics I heard was my ex telling me she was pregnant. It got so bad that I thought people were fucking with me and I saw the baby in my peripheral. At one point I closed my eyes and actually felt the baby with my hands. It was so real.

To sum it up Modafinil is a very weird drug and will probably be taken off the market soon. I still take it every now and then if I don’t have the usual clear. I have had a lot of spiritual type experiences on it.

btw the second dose seems to be more energetic type high that leaves me feeling good. I probably should try a lower dose then 800- 1000 mg.
