Chocolate has very definite effects when combined with MAOI's. My only experience is when combining it with B. caapi.

When under the influence of caapi (and usually mushrooms it should be noted), I have eaten dark (70% cocoa) chocolate, and I feel effects quite quickly. A feeling of warmth starts to spread around my mouth, and this feeling continues in the stomach and body when swallowed. For me it is a similar feeling to when eating ganja brownies and feeling the first twinges of warm, comforting energy beginning to spread out from my stomach.

It is pleasant but definitely not profound in any way, but I have never felt any clear, noticeable effects when eating chocolate before this combination.
