I purchased half a gram of salvia from a local smoke shop for $20, as I have always wanted to try it. One night, I got my girlfriend to stay up as sitter for me, and I loaded a hit into my pipe and smoked the contents. I inhaled and held the smoke for approximately 20 seconds, and then took another hit to get the rest of the salvia out of the pipe. Immediately after exhaling, I felt gravity pull me down to my bed, and I remember exclaiming 'something is happening' to my girlfriend. Suddenly, while my head resting on a pillow, I was being run over by a train driven by cartoon characters. I remember the cartoon characters telling me that I couldn't board the train alone, and everytime a wheel would go across the track, I felt a sensation in my throat area, almost a burning feeling. Finally, my hallucination transformed into a group of cupboards, of which when one drawer was opened, I was returned to the real world. After this, I felt very lethargic, almost as if I had just smoked a joint, and I came down about 15 minutes later. My girlfriend reported that I was speaking gibberish and pointing my hands every which way trying to explain something to her she said it seemed.

Salvia is a very potent herb, and while I still have about three hits left, I have no intention of taking them, as I feel that the herb is a divine entrance to a world that we don't know of. It is not to be toyed around with and laughed about. Salvia is serious!
