Up until two Months ago I was injesting a lot of caffeine during the day. I knew I needed to stop and I also wanted to see how my body would react to a non-caffeinated day. I also wanted to see what drinking a bunch of caffeine after my tolerance went down close to 0 would do. So on the date listed above, I stopped using caffeine for at the time, I thought a month would be a good amount of time.

On the first day, I woke up and had some juice. I felt really tired but after an hour, I was sort-of normal (still a little tired though). Around lunch that day, I got a dull, aching headache. I wasn't scared about it as I knew that would happen, but it was annoying. By the time I got through the day, it was gone.

The headaches stopped after a couple of days
The headaches stopped after a couple of days
and I stopped feeling the need for a cup of coffee or a coke or even some chocolate.

When the month was over, I decided to take another month away from caffeine in case 4 weeks wasn't enough. During that second month, I noticed I was waking up more refreshed and falling asleep much easier.

But I knew that I must finish the experiment. So on Sept 10, I went to buy some coffee. Not a regular coffee, but a triple espresso. I also went out and bought a monster and a 16 oz bottle of coke. I went home and chugged it all down. I noticed feeling wire right after the coffee but still drank down the monster and coke.

After 30 min, I was restless and couldn't stop moving. I was feeling very happy though. I called my girlfriend (L) over who thought I took cocaine or meth. She said I was talking a lot and very rapidly but it was very fluent. We went out to lunch and I had a glass of coke to increase the caffeine. That was a mistake. I was no longer happy. All that caffeine made me very angry at the smallest annoyances. I yelled at the people next to us for laughing too loud and on the way home, I honked my horn and cussed-out a driver who cut me off (I usually try no to cuss).

When we got home, L had to leave so I tried to calm myself down by reading a book. I was just too wired to read, so I took my dog out for a run and when we got back, I stared feeling really tired and I had a small headache. I took a bath and nearly fell asleep in the bathtub. It was then close to 6 so I heated up some left overs and watched TV. I then feel asleep on the couch with the TV on.

The next morning, I woke up tired, like I didn't sleep very good. I got through the day all right. But didn't really feel refreshed until today, Sept 12. I now know how my body reacts to caffeine and not to do that again.
