I am reporting this for my first experience with Kratom. I've had some experience with Opiates and other substances. So hearing that Kratom was supposedely similar to opiates I was interested in trying it. Even though it has been available for some time I just didn't have a pressing need to try some herbal crap that could possibly kill me. Finally I decided to try it.

I made a tea with about 4 grams of leafy material purchased through a reliable internet vendor. The leafy material was green and somewhat crushed up and had some stems in it. I boiled it in water and put a few green tea bags in to help make it more palatable. I have experience with herbs and know firsthand many taste particularly bad. I had placed the Kratom in tea bags so there was no need to strain it. I removed them and boiled them again to get out as much as possible. I then put honey (alot) into it and let the concoction cool off. I then drank the tea and noticed it was not unbearable to gulp down.

About 20-30 mins I feel something, a warm feeling in the body like opiates coming on. I feel pretty good and am enjoying it. No strong euphoria or any jittery speediness. No strong sedation. Just a warm slightly euphoric feeling throughout the body. This lasted for about an hour or so.

Aftwards I felt very weirded out. Having weird thoughts and strange hallucinations. Really trippy weird thoughts that bothered me alot. I decided the come down of Kratom was awful, and the weird feelings were due to the Kratom for I had not taken anything else that day. The weird spaced out unpleasent trippiness lasted for a while.

I then slept over 24 hours into the next day and woke up fine. I have decided Kratom sucks and will not bother with it again.
