One fine evening, I went to a friend's house because I had promised him that I'd smoke a blunt with him some time that week. He welcomed me in, one of his friends was sitting on the couch with a beer. We started watching a movie while we were waiting for my friend's cousin to arrive with the weed. Once he got there, he rolled the blunt and we started passing it around. Then, I had my friend walk me home, as was our routine because I can't stand walking in the dark by myself after I've been smoking. It freaks me out. When we got to my place he went home and I tried to enter the back door, but it was locked and I seemed to've lost my key. So I began walking to my fiance's house, which is only 4 blocks from where I stay. This is where things got weird.

Three nights before this, I had done the most amount of DXM I've taken up to date. It was 800 mg. At one point I'd not even been able to walk on my own. I had tripped hard, but as always, it had been accompanied by bouts of vomiting and over-all miserable-ness.

Back to the night I was referring to, as I made my way to my destination, everything became wrapped in an array of psychedelic patterns and my footsteps turned from footsteps into a steady beat into music . When I got where I was going I informed my fiance of my situation and he got a key and walked me back to my house. Not only was everything decked in amazing colours, but when I closed my eyes I got the best visuals ever. Geometric patterns painted in lime greens and pinks and yellows and any other colour you could think of. And then there was the little fact that I could imagine anything I wanted to and it seemed real to me. As he was opening the front door for me, he turned to look at me, my arm was raised level with my shoulder and I bid the falcon sitting on my forearm good-bye, watching it depart before I followed him into the house.

I went to sleep that night, still tripping. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

Later, when I spoke to a friend of mine who also dabbles in recreational drug use, he told me that DXM can stay on your brain for a few days and that it can be reactivated by another drug. I haven't done any research on this theory, but it sounds right to me. I will try the combination again another time and see how it works out. 800 mg of DXM + 3 days + 1 blunt = heaven! [?]
