Overdose Doesn't Always Kill...
Hydromorphone

DOSE:
  insufflated Hydromorphone (ground / crushed)
BODY WEIGHT: 140 lb
I insufflated ten 4mg Dilaudid pills in 10 lines, it took about 20 minutes to snort it all. Within 10 minutes I was already feeling euphoria, an energy sensation in my chest, and a warm feeling in my body, typical opiate high. After 60 minutes I was peaking. I sat in my chair, with eyes closed, and concentrated on the high. It felt so good, I would get lost in the physical sensation, then snap out of it a few minutes later.

I then made a disturbing self realization. Every time I was 'concentrating' on my high, I wasn't breathing. The scary part about heavy doses of opiates is that holding my breath feels good... Obviously this is not normal, I can barely hold my breath for 45 seconds sober, but I was nodding in my chair for god knows how long holding my breath. When I would snap out of it I would get very lightheaded, if I tried to move everything would turn black, and I would almost faint. My short term memory was also affected, because I kept forgetting to breath.
I kept forgetting to breath.
Confusion came over me and I slipped into a half conscious state for some time. After about 8 hours I was no longer feeling the euphoria, but still felt a heavy body load. It lasted surprisingly long.

Overdose doesn't always kill, respiratory depression and apnea can happen. Again, it doesn't mean it will kill me, but brain damage from the oxygen deprivation is very possible.

I got myself into some trouble with my opiate escapades, my short term memory is noticeably different. It affects my life more than I would ever imagine, it pisses off my girlfriend, I feel like an idiot because I can't remember things on short terms. Be safe, know your dose, know your body.
