Fast forward 2 years. I have lost my job, girlfriend, most of my friends, my health (I used to train MMA and workout daily). My life now is about hustling and finding ways to get my pills every day so that I don't get sick. I'm sure all opiate addicts reading this know exactly the feeling of despair in knowing that I am a slave to a little pill.
I finally decided that enough is enough I can't chase a high forever, so I made a decision to quit opiates. I wanted to go out with a bang so me and my friend robbed our dealer the day after he got a new script for 60 80mg OxyContins. We also procured an ounce of high quality cocaine. What followed was 5 days and nights straight, without food or sleep, of smoking crack, and snorting the load of oxys we had. Speedballing this way was probably the best highs of my life. If not for the crack, I don't think I would have survived. After all the pills were gone we both decided that it was time to stop wasting our lives away for a drug. Plus we now had no source for the pills, which was part of our plan.
We stopped cold turkey. The first day was fine, I thought I would be okay. But the second night, I woke up, cold sweat all over me, heart beating out of my chest, my whole body aching, nose running, extremely confused and angry with a deep horrible anxiety. I was withdrawing from opiates horribly. I had a seizure: My hands clenched tightly and I couldnt help it. It moved up to my chest and up my legs until I couldn't move at all and was convulsing on the ground, shitting myself. I refused to go to hospital.
I had to do something asap. I made some calls and my good friend who has also had problems with opiates told me about suboxone. He gave me 4 2mg tablets. I took one right away holding it under my toungue for 15 minutes. Within an hour, all the horrible withdrawal symptoms had vanished. I actually started feeling quite nice and almost euphoric. It feels lighter and more floaty than oxy, but very pleasant. Since it has naloxone, I knew I couldnt take any more oxy. It was perfect. I was finally free from the clutches of the oxys. I took one more pill every morning and night. He gave me enough to last me for a week, and after I stopped taking it, I had no withdrawal symptoms of any kind. I continue to have cravings for Oxy and even wouldn't mind taking suboxone on occasion for the relaxing antidepressant feel it gives me. It can actually create a nice euphoria at times.
I am now opiate free.
I wish the best to any person trying to quit opiates. Opiate addiction only led me down bad roads. I'm so happy I was able to help myself. Suboxone was the EASIEST and BEST way to quit. It really worked! It turns the process of quitting from being hell into a floaty dreamy bubble for a week, then I was clean! What more could I ask for? Of course I still think about getting high. I still crave for and sometimes dream about those beautiful green pills, but with some determination and willpower, I haven't returned to them.
Thank you SUBOXONE!
