This was my second experience with yopo, but the guy I did it with claimed he had the right mixture to give a full spiritual journey so I decided to give it another shot.

After work I went with him back to his house, he was kind of an older guy around 50 and I had been working with him for some time now. But he wanted to use me as a guinea pig for the yopo, so we put 6 seeds in a pot cooked them till they popped then as I peeled them most were burned so we pop 6 more and after peeling them mixed them with edible lime and I quickly as possible snorted the powder. It burned worse than anything I'd ever snorted and trust me I've snorted alot in my day. Shortly after I felt very nauseous and quickly went to the bathroom to puke and after puking 3 times the toilet turned orange and turned into a kaleidoscope and I went into his living room to sit down.

I continued feeling sicker and sicker and puked a few more times into a bucket. I didn't want to move the whole time and ended up laying on the floor, but just getting up and moving felt like it was pulling my whole body to the floor. Laying there felt like hell and I just kept repeating 'I want to die, I wish I never did this, this sucks' but at the same time the visuals were amazing there were layers and layers of colored patters moving around like a kaleidoscope. While laying there I felt like I had the worst disease any one could ever have and just wanted nothing more than to not exist. I felt distant from everything and just kept feeling sicker. My friend was sitting in a chair watching it all happen and in my peripheral vision he looked like an orange zombie. Then the ceiling started moving in closer and closer to me like a mad scientist trap. At the same time I wished I didn't feel so sick because the visual colors and patterns were so vibrant and beautiful. He has a couple of ferrets that kept crawling on me and bugging me. And the whole time it just felt like it would never end. But 10 minutes later I started feeling less and less sick. Still not wanting to move I was feeling better still.

The aftermath of the sickness and the come down almost made the sickness worth it, because I started feeling so good, and meanwhile philosified about beavis and butthead comparing myself to an episode when beavis had his arm stuck in the blood pressure checker and kept laughing periodically at some adult diapers that butthead would bring to show him. Which is what kept happening, something would make me laugh during my pain periodically. And afterwards we jammed on the guitar and I wrote a song about beavis n butthead on the spot.

Even after the horror I felt changed into a better person because of the experience and the thoughts that ran through my head. But still remembering the pain I would not try this again... Maybe.
