I had never tried heroin before in any of its varied forms. Sure, I had seen plenty of movies and television shows that portrayed it as the worst possible thing a person could even put inside their bodies, but I'm not one to believe the media.

Recently, I had been on various forums and chat rooms trying to learn more about the effects and varieties of heroin. Being terrified of needles, I decided to look for one of the powdered forms of the not-so-elusive substance.

I eventually met a young man who offered to sell me some China White. After researching it, I decided that this would be the best version for me since it is in powdered for and can be insuflated.

I snorted one line when I got home. The first thing I noticed was the drip in the back of my throat tasted absolutely terrible. Within five to ten minutes of snorting the line, I felt a wave of euphoria wash over me. It was one of the most intense experiences in my life. After this I began to lose track of time, but a wave of what can be best described as apathetic blissfulness washed over me. I was content to lie on my couch, listening to music and chatting on the Internet for a little while before losing all interest in that and collapsing on the couch bundled up in a blanket. I got a bit of a stomach ache, so I took some Tums which helped alleviate the pain. At no point did I get sick, which I have heard is common for first timers. I also barely got any of the 'itchies' I had been warned about.

A few hours later, I stumbled over to my bed and fell asleep. I don't know if I'll ever do it again, but this experience was an extremely enjoyable one.
