I am writing this report because it seems that there is very little information present on the internet about combining Ambien with psychedelic drugs. I have combined Ambien with the following substances:

Psilocybin Mushrooms (3.5g)
2C-E (18mg)
5-MeO-MiPT (6mg)

And would like to share my experiences.

In short, if I want like to bring back a trip which I thought was over, I take a Ambien during the come down. My trip will not only come back, but will return with stronger visuals than I had while I was peaking.

The first time I had experienced this was with 2C-E. I had just finished a 7 hour 18mg 2C-E trip and after a night of fun adventures, went back to my apartment and laid down in my bed. I preceded to take 10mg of Ambien. I thought this would knock me out so I could sleep after the trip. Boy was I wrong. Within 30 minutes I begin experiencing what the Shulgin scale describes as '++++'. I was tripping harder than I had while I was peaking on 2C-E.

The bed I was lying in turned into Vines. I looked around me and my pretty average looking room turned into a Mayan Jungle. I was so disillusioned that I truly believed I was in a Mayan jungle. Vines on my bed rushed all over me. I hallucinated that there were monkeys and a river in my room.

Then, in a blink of an eye, my room morphed from the jungle to a futuristic space station. My desk which was to the left of me, turned into a high tech space station which looked as if it was from Star Trek. The rest of my room turned into a ship. My computer desk blasted off through my roof. This is the last of the experience that I remember, as the visuals became too overwhelming and I blacked out.

A year or so later, I take 6mg of 5-MeO-MiPT for my first time. I have a wonderful trip, however, my friend who I took the drug with was reacting rather poorly to the substance. I tell her that I have Ambien and we should take it to end the trip. While I didnt particularly want to end my trip, my primary concern was that she was ok. As is such I decided to take the drug with her, forgetting that the previous time I had combined Ambien with a psychedelic, it caused me to blast off.

Needless to say, our trip did not end when we each consumed 15mg of Ambien. I began to get incredible open eye visuals. Very LSD like. The walls began to melt and transform, and the room I was in turned into electric candyland. She was experiencing the same thing. However, the Ambien did calm her down a bit (probably because of its effect on the GABA system). I closed my eyes and had unreal CEV. i remember seeing spiraling birds flying everywhere. In addition, as I had been watching the TV show '24' earlier in the day, I began thinking about the TV series. Instantly, with my eyes closed, I began hallucinating that I was Jack Bauer , and that I was murdering terrorists with an AK-47. This did not scare me however and it felt pretty cool to be Jack.

I do not remember really what happened after then, and I fell asleep somehow.

A year or so later I am in the desert. I consume 1/8 of potent psychedelic mushrooms. I have a pretty enjoyable 2-3 hour trip on them. The trip had once again all but died down. We were sleeping in a tent that night, and as I hate sleeping in tents brought my trusty Ambien bottle with me. I take 10mg and attempt to sleep. Once again this did not happen right away. Once the Ambien kicked in I began getting full blown hallucinations. At first the inside of my tent turned into a middle eastern palace. Nothing even remotely resembled reality, and I thought I was in Egypt. Then my friend entered the tent, the tent promptly turned from a palace into a shack in Antartica. My friend looked to me like an Antarctic explorer, and I thought that I was part of a science mission exploring the country. I then closed my eyes, and mushroom-esque visuals returned for a hour or so. I then fell asleep.

In a nutshell, I am surprised that there are not other reports (at least that I can find) online about combining Ambien with psychedelic drugs. It is a great compound that enhances my trip while I am in the midst of it (like it did to me on 5-MeO-MiPT), or it can completely bring the trip back full swing if it is over.
