I was looking for some sort of new buzz when I discovered that Benadryl would make me trip. Surely enough, we had a nice, full bottle in the medicine cabinet. The first night, I decided to take about 800mg of it since, according to the recommended dosage, I would be tripping hard. After I take all 32 of those little pink pills, I browsed the internet for a while, waiting for the effects to take hold. Many hours later, nothing was happening, other than the fact that I was very tired. I decided to call it a night and fell asleep very easily.

Now this is where I got even dumber. The next day, I decided to try again, but with more. That night, I finished off the bottle which was probably about 40 pills or 1000mg. Only this time, it did something. The first thing I noticed was my legs felt very heavy. Like they were literally a ton a piece. It wasn't any harder to walk, however. Eventually, things started to become 'wavy.' After waiting even longer, the hallucinations started to take hold. I was seeing bugs in the corner of my dimly lit room and some crawling under the door. But every time I got up to investigate them, they went away, only to reappear when I sat down. Any and everything was moving after staring at it for a moment. I was convinced I made this towel, which for a while I thought was my dog, float with my mind. The white background on my web browser made amazing shapes upon looking at it.
Then I noticed something surprising. My skin was blue. And I was cold. And I couldn't talk. I simply couldn't. It was like it was an ability I never possessed. Being the idiot I am, I continued my trip worry free all night, not sleeping at all somehow. The entire next day, my throat had this awful sensation to it and for several hours after the trip, I still couldn't talk. For the remainder of the day, I couldn't read anything either. My vision was terribly blurry.

I decided to do it again for some reason a few days later, but the after effects where even worse and I vowed to stay off of it forever.

Looking back on things, I'm not sure how I wasn't hospitalized at the least. I had 1800mg of Diphenhydramine in my system in under 48 hours. This isn't anything to mess around with. Those little pink pills aren't so harmless.
