I started out with half a leaf. Not much happened other than a definite feeling of lightheaded euphoria. So I loaded a whole leaf and hit it again. A little more euphoria.
Then I packed the bowl of my pipe, which usually holds pipe tobacco, and sprinkled a pinch of 5X extract on top. I was sitting in a law chair in the backyard. I took two lungfuls of the smoke this time, and a split second after the second hit, the world sort of collapsed in on itself, the lawn chair melted out from under me, then I melted with it. Everything went sort of plastic and dissolved into a waterfall of colorful stripes and then I was somewhere else.
It didn't last long. About all I remember is some colorful lights, and then I popped back in, laughed, and my wife asked me if I was OK. 'I'm fine,' I told her. 'Just pour me out of this chair and I'll go on in the house.'
I didn't see much about it I'd call mystical. It was more like falling into the anesthesia (ether) when I had my tonsils out as a kid. But I will note this - my mood, which was sort of stressed, improved two hundred percent

My own opinion, if you want to hear what an old man thinks, is that this might be the greatest antidepressant ever discovered. The secret to it, in my opinion, is to not go overboard with it. I'm not a big fan of melting with the lawn chair, but a lesser intake is very pleasant.
I can take a couple of light puffs of leaf, I really don't need strong extract, and get to the euphoric but still rational stage. It will unwind me and set my mood right. Everything takes on a clarity visually that is amazing, with maybe a slight tendency toward a little psychedelia around the edges of objects, and the feeling of well being is tremendous.
I'll do it again, so long as it stays legal, but if they clamp down on it, I'll have to say goodbye. It sure does help with depression, anger, and symptoms of PTSD (I'm a veteran), so I hope they keep it legal here. This is the most relaxed I've been in years.
