Anyways, fast forward years into the future - I'm older, have a family + job - the works, you know - and live in a state where the cannabis laws are unusually unfriendly to my ever-paranoid sensibilities, so I haven't smoked regularly in a LONG time. At most, I might get a single puff in per year. Wow, right?!
But there's a light at the end of the tunnel - we're considering decriminalization here in Connecticut, so I decided to kick drinking and return to the kind embrace of MJ. Eventually. But for now - it's the legal stuff.. bleh..
So: Opium Lettuce. I've recently ordered a number of herbs to try out, and 'Wild Lettuce' was one of them. Cheap, no expectations. I knew from my past experience that smoking this stuff was difficult, as it was dry, harsh - pretty nasty, overall. And I didn't recall getting a buzz, but anyways…
I have a Volcano vaporizer from my old heady days, so I decided this was the best route for this harsh plant matter. I packed up the chamber (4g or so?), set the temperature to it's highest (9) and proceeded to fill the bag twice, inhaling both bags of vapor in succession. The flavor was not bad, though I got a hint at the otherwise harsh smoke that I would've been subjected to were I to burn the stuff…
Nothing really happened, so I wrote it off and decided to head back into my house. Now, maybe 10 minutes later - wow - I've actually got a pretty decent buzz! It's nice. Clear, pleasant, almost within distance of the shores of grinning and pie-eyes. But not that intense, dig?
Vaporizing Wild Lettuce in immediate succession seems to be a recipe for success. I've got a nice buzz - very much in the head, versus body euphoria - and I'm pleased by the positive results. Nice.
Keep in mind, I am not a regular cannabis smoker - at all. I don't think that would matter from past experience, but it's worth noting.
Yea. I feel pretty good.
